Nansen scales analytics beyond Ethereum with Bitcoin L2 integration

As a seasoned researcher with a keen interest in blockchain technology and its applications, I find Nansen’s expansion into Bitcoin’s L2 ecosystem through Bitlayer an exciting development. Having closely followed Ethereum’s growth and seen the impact of analytics platforms like Nansen on its ecosystem, I can only imagine the potential benefits this partnership could bring to Bitcoin’s decentralized applications (DApps) and smart contracts.

Cryptocurrency analytics platform Nansen is expanding its capabilities beyond Ethereum by moving into Bitcoin through a partnership with the Bitcoin layer-2 (L2) network, Bitlayer.

Nansen is launching its Bitcoin (BTC) analytical services for the first time, providing blockchain data analysis to Bitlayer – a secondary layer network that enables smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps) on the Bitcoin platform.

Through Nansen’s backing, Bitlayer stands to provide its user base with a range of analytical tools tailored to foster and expedite expansion within their ecosystem.

Nansen’s foray into the BTC layer-2 ecosystem

Announcing the news to CryptoMoon, Nansen noted that the partnership marks its foray into the Bitcoin L2 ecosystem.

Through their backing of Bitlayer, Nansen aims to establish a robust framework for gaining comprehensive layer 2 insights about Bitcoin, enabling more streamlined decision-making processes, as stated by the firm.

To enhance our data analysis tools for Bitlayer, we’re planning to help its users and boost the platform’s usage in the Bitcoin Layer 2 sector. This action aligns with our goal of highlighting significant trends and fostering success,” Nansen CEO Alex Svanevik explained.

Based on the statement by Charlie Hu, one of the co-founders at Bitlayer, the knowledge that Nansen possesses about blockchain data is expected to provide valuable insights to Bitlayer’s user base. These insights will empower developers, investors, and users alike to grasp network dynamics more effectively and spot potential opportunities in a clearer manner.

Hu emphasized that this partnership reinforces our dedication to establishing a data-oriented, innovative ecosystem on Bitcoin, fostering development and expansion of distributed apps and services.

This is a developing story, and further information will be added as it becomes available.
