21-year-old mom of son River, aged 20 months, opened up about planning for baby No. 2, detailing how her cousin Rosie McClelland stepped up to help during the grand celebration that was worth a dance interlude.
In a YouTube video posted on November 16th, Sophia stated that it was Rosie who turned the day around. She had brought the same ring light she used at the previous baby shower for River, since Sophia didn’t have one herself.
Sophia, who gained popularity on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2011 by performing Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” with Rosie, also displayed the intricate decorations and beautifully wrapped presents for her bow-themed party. She chose this theme because, as she explained, “I had to since I’m having a girl.
In the midst of colorful pink-and-white balloon arches and delicate frosted bow cookies, Sophia, who usually maintains privacy about her longtime partner, organized a joyous gathering for her friends and family. The event featured games like baby bingo and a nursery rhyme trivia contest.
She went on saying, “It was truly enjoyable, I must admit! I’m incredibly appreciative and thankful for all the thoughtful gifts I’ve received. A big thanks goes out to everyone in my family and circle of friends who were able to join the celebration.
However, Sophia’s upcoming baby shower is simply another joyous occasion in the life of the YouTube personality. Back in September, she shared with us the exciting news about her baby girl, a secret that brought on “happy tears” when it was revealed.
Sophia expressed in her YouTube video from September, ‘I’m overjoyed beyond words, and it’s hard to put into words,’ Sophia said. ‘Deep down, I had hoped for a daughter. Some may say, ‘One shouldn’t have preferences regarding the child’s gender.’ But of course, I’m thrilled with whatever the baby turns out to be. However, I already have a son, and I secretly yearned for a daughter, and I wasn’t expecting one.’
And she isn’t just excited for herself—Sophia is thrilled for her son, too.
