As a big movie fan, one of my favorite things is a good franchise marathon – settling in to watch all the films in order is such a treat! And with all the streaming services now, it should be easy to do. But it’s been tricky with the Indiana Jones movies because they’ve been spread across different platforms. Luckily, that’s about to change! Starting New Year’s Day, I’ll finally be able to watch all five Indiana Jones films in one place – I’m so excited!
Starting January 1st, Disney+ will have all five Indiana Jones movies available to stream! You’ll be able to watch Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny – making it a great time to enjoy the entire series.
Why Were the Indiana Jones Movies on Separate Platforms In the First Place?
It’s interesting to have all five Indiana Jones movies together on Disney+ again, but this isn’t the first time the films have moved around. The reason for this constant shifting is licensing agreements. Disney owns Lucasfilm, the studio behind the Indiana Jones series, but Paramount previously had the rights to show the first four films. They were added to Disney+ in May 2023, removed in October 2024, and then moved back to Disney+ on January 1, 2025, only to be moved again to Paramount in October. This kind of thing happens fairly often with movies as different platforms gain and lose rights, but it’s unusual to see an entire franchise move back and forth quite so much.
It’s currently unknown if the Indiana Jones movies will stay on Disney+ permanently. Future deals could cause the films to move again, and there may already be agreements in place that could do so. But for now, all five Indiana Jones movies are available to stream on Disney+, which is great news for fans starting 2026.
