Gearbox Entertainment is steadily moving towards the release of Borderlands 4, with its recent cinematic shorts and trailers concentrating on the character Vex, the Siren, and her gruesome resurrection. Despite hinting at shared origins and additional information about other Vault Hunters, the most recent trailer shifts its focus to CL4P-TP, also known as Claptrap.
In the role of the final survivor from the Crimson Resistance, Claptrap serves as a sort of companion for the player, offering aid but often causing annoyance instead. While this behavior is intentional, some players may find his constant chatter and awkward dialogue grating. Fortunately, Gearbox has included a Claptrap dialogue volume slider in the settings, allowing you to adjust it according to your preference. If you find his ramblings too much to handle, feel free to mute him entirely or turn up the volume if you enjoy them – the choice is yours!
On September 12th, Borderlands 4 will be released on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, priced at $69.99. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition is expected to follow later in the year. Keep an eye out for updates regarding the game’s finale or delve deeper into its post-launch strategies, which encompass two fresh Vault Hunters, new map areas, and storyline content.
