In Just 1 Day, Final Destination: Bloodlines Is Dominating the Charts Again on a Surprising Platform

The newest film in the series is already a huge hit on a popular streaming service, following its unexpected success in cinemas.

According to Flix Patrol, Final Destination Bloodlines is already a popular hit on Prime Video, landing at number four on the list of top streaming movies. This quick rise to the top happened just one day after the film became available on January 1st.

The horror sequel has been popular on HBO Max in Turkey and is also performing well on streaming services in several European and Asian countries, including Austria, Germany, Jordan, and Oman.

Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein directed the latest installment, written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, who also created the story with Jon Watts. The film features Kaitlyn Santa Juana as Stefani Reyes, granddaughter of a couple who previously cheated death, and kicks off a complex, far-reaching narrative in Final Destination Bloodlines.

The main cast of Final Destination: Bloodlines includes Teo Briones as Stefani’s brother Charlie, along with Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, and Owen Patrick Joyner playing their cousins Erik, Julia, and Bobby. Gabrielle Rose plays their grandmother, Iris, and Brec Bassinger (from Stargirl) portrays a younger version of Iris. Following the movie’s release, director Stein talked about potentially continuing the series with another installment. He explained, “There’s always more story to tell,” but also admitted they’d put everything they had into this film and didn’t currently have many new ideas for a sequel.

Lipovsky explained that the story’s focus on a family was a major draw for the directors. He added that they were particularly intrigued because Final Destination 5 had a satisfying conclusion that felt like a natural ending to the series.

Director Lipovsky explained the change in how the story unfolds compared to other Final Destination films. He said it let them start with a flashback-style premonition set in the past, which was a new approach. This immediately signaled to the audience that this installment would be different from previous ones.
