The Curse
Premiering in late 2023 on Showtime, The Curse was a daring and unique series. Featuring Emma Stone, Nathan Fielder, and Benny Safdie, this eight-episode comedy mixes humor and suspense in a way that’s similar to the popular HBO Max series, The Chair Company.
If you enjoy Nathan Fielder’s unusual and funny shows like Nathan For You and The Rehearsal, you’re probably prepared for anything he does. While this new series didn’t receive as much critical praise as some expected, the on-screen chemistry between Stone, Fielder, and Safdie makes it a worthwhile watch, particularly if you like awkward, uncomfortable comedy – think shows or personalities similar to Tim Robinson’s work. The ten episodes are definitely binge-worthy.
Sleeper Cell
If you’re looking for a great show to watch, consider Sleeper Cell, a surprisingly good series available on Paramount+. This Showtime original, which first aired in 2005—a year before Dexter—has 18 episodes spread across two seasons and offers a compelling and nostalgic viewing experience.

The spy thriller series Lioness has quickly become a standout show of the 2020s. Since its debut in 2023, it’s grown to two seasons, with a third one expected soon. With 16 episodes in total, it’s the perfect length for a weekend binge – especially if you enjoy shows like Reacher and The Terminal List: Dark Wolf.
As a huge fan of Taylor Sheridan’s work, I was really excited about Lioness, and it definitely delivered! Zoe Saldaña is fantastic as Joe McNamara, a CIA operative, and the supporting cast is incredible – Nicole Kidman, Michael Kelly, Morgan Freeman, and even James Jordan from Landman all shine. If you’re a Sheridan fan like me and looking for something to watch on Paramount+ this weekend, you absolutely can’t go wrong with Lioness.
