Under the Alienware brand, Dell has recently introduced a new gaming monitor called the AW2725Q. This latest display boasts a 27-inch 4K panel that refreshes at an impressive rate of 240 Hz. Notably, its smaller size combined with its high resolution puts it among some of the most densely packed QD-OLED monitors available today, with approximately 166 pixels per inch.
Regarding connectivity options, the AW2725Q monitor comes equipped with an HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.0, and DisplayPort 1.4 ports, in addition to a 3.5mm audio output jack. You’ll also find three USB-A ports and one USB-C port. In terms of color and synchronization technology, it supports 10-bit color depth and is compatible with both AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync technologies.
Additional aspects of this monitor incorporate intelligent technology designed to ward off objects potentially damaging the screen, along with a graphite layer sandwiched within the display panels for added protection.
Surprisingly, the AW2725Q sports a less flashy design compared to what’s usually associated with the Alienware brand. This new monitor is expected to appear more streamlined on a desk, standing out particularly when placed alongside other Alienware monitors or desktop and laptop systems.
The Alienware AW2725Q is slated to hit stores in March 2025, and will be priced at $900.
