The John Wick video game will no longer be available for purchase by the end of this week. The John Wick series began more than a decade ago as a low-budget action film that garnered a dedicated fanbase, leading to a full franchise. While Keanu Reeves was well-known from The Matrix before the John Wick films, it’s reasonable to say that the John Wick series has become a significant part of his career due to the depth he brings to those productions. Although it was believed that the story of John Wick would conclude with the fourth film, it was recently announced that a fifth John Wick movie is in production with Reeves reprising his role.
The John Wick franchise thrives and even produces offshoots such as Ballerina, effectively capturing and sustaining the essence of John Wick. Despite this, fans of the series have been clamoring for a video game adaptation for quite some time now. Interestingly, one has been available for several years. Developed by Bithell Games, the distinctive John Wick game titled John Wick Hex stands out. Unlike conventional third-person shooter games, which might be expected for such a franchise, this one offers a unique twist – it’s a fast-paced action strategy game. This difference is precisely what makes it intriguing.
As a passionate fan, I regret to inform you that if you’re not already familiar with it, you’ll soon miss your chance to get it. The action-strategy game, John Wick Hex, is being removed from all digital platforms on Thursday, July 17th. After that date, the game will no longer be available for purchase digitally. However, if you manage to find a physical copy, it’s likely to become quite valuable following this announcement.
Fortunately, John Wick Hex is currently on sale at Humble for just $3.99, making it an incredible bargain. Alternatively, you can buy it for $20 on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. For those who already own the game, they will still be able to freely install and play it post-delisting, so don’t let this opportunity slip away!
Starting on July 17th, 2025, the existing owners can continue playing John Wick Hex through their digital libraries (PC and consoles) or physical copies (consoles only). However, it’s important to note that no new purchases of John Wick Hex will be available for sale, regardless of the platform or storefront, according to Big Fan Games.
It appears that the game “John Wick Hex” might be removed from distribution due to complications with licensing, potentially involving Lionsgate, who hold the rights to the John Wick franchise. However, there’s good news for fans as Lionsgate intends to develop a high-quality AAA John Wick video game, which could finally satisfy long-standing desires among fans. Unfortunately, we don’t have much information about this upcoming project yet, and it might be several years before it becomes available.
