Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga! Fans were delighted by the continuation in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, but deeply saddened by what happened to Yuji Itadori. As the main character of the original series, Yuji was incredibly popular, known for his kindness and willingness to help everyone – even his greatest enemy, Ryomen Sukuna. This makes his fate particularly upsetting. After the fight with Sukuna ended, Yuji didn’t age at all. It seems that consuming cursed objects and Death Paintings to gain power stopped his aging process, turning him into something between a human and a curse.
Yuji experienced decades passing while he remained unchanged, watching his friends age and pass away, which caused him immense grief. After Hana Kurusu’s funeral, he cut ties with Nobara Kugisaki and vanished, remaining untraceable despite the efforts of the entire jujutsu world. Though he’s been alone for a long time, Yuji is clearly planning something significant, as shown by his recent meeting with Iori Okkotsu, the son of his friends Yuta and Maki.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Reveals Yuji Is the Last Person Iori Met Before Disappearing

I just read the newest chapter, and it was a big moment for fans! We finally meet Yuta and Maki’s son, Iori – he was actually mentioned way back in the first volume. It turns out he vanished shortly after his daughter was born, and the last person he saw was Yuji. The chapter doesn’t show us exactly what they talked about, but it’s pretty clear Yuji knows why Iori had to disappear, and might have even been involved in helping him do so. Apparently, Iori was really concerned about future generations being less powerful, which is why Tsurugi thinks he left once Yuka was born – she has a really strong Cursed Technique, so he felt like his job was done.
It’s been sixteen years since anyone in the Jujutsu world heard from Iori, and most people have moved on. His parents, Yuta and Maki, were devastated by his disappearance and avoided speaking about him. They may have known why he left, but sadly passed away before they could reunite with him. Iori’s children grew up without a father, being raised primarily by their grandparents. No one knows what happened to Iori’s wife, but many believe she’s the woman seen in the first chapter who made Yuka give up her ring to Tsurugi. As the manga nears its conclusion, the mystery surrounding Iori’s disappearance and Yuji’s connection to it will finally be revealed.
