A new Life Is Strange game, called Reunion, has been revealed thanks to a listing by the European ratings board, PEGI. It’s expected to be released on the PlayStation 5.
Fans of the series are expected to love the new game, which brings back Max Caulfield and Chloe Price. The two characters, who were close friends and eventually became romantically involved in the first game, will be reunited.
Here’s how the blurb describes the plot:
Chloe Price and Max Caulfield shared a unique connection through time, and losing Chloe is Max’s biggest regret. Now, Chloe is at Caledon University, struggling with disturbing nightmares and confusing memories, and she needs Max’s help. However, Max is facing her own problems – a devastating fire is predicted to destroy the campus in just three days.
The game’s content, as detailed by PEGI, includes disturbing scenes like someone being drugged and a character being shot. It also features depictions of drug use, general violence, and strong language.
It seems Deck Nine is developing a new game after Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, which received a somewhat mixed response from players when it came out in 2024.
This new story appears to take place at Caledon University again, which might be why it’s being released so quickly. The developers could be using environments and resources they already created for the last game.
What are your thoughts on bringing Chloe Price back? It feels like a logical progression for the series, especially considering how well ‘Double Exposure’ was received, but ultimately its success will depend on the execution.
