Onijah Andrew Robinson has ambitious plans in Pakistan.
For several months following her arrival in Karachi, a woman originally from New York seemed homeless and attracted attention online due to her peculiar statements regarding her pursuit of Pakistani citizensship, while locals tried to aid her with essential resources.
At a recent press conference, Onijah expressed his vision: “To entirely rebuild our nation.” Accompanying him was Razam Chhipa, the founder of the Chhipa Welfare Association. He made a request for substantial funding, stating, “I am appealing for at least $100,000. I urgently require $20,000 in cash by this coming week.” This, he asserted, is a directive to the government.
The 33-year-old woman, who claims to have come to Pakistan for a 19-year-old man she met online, hasn’t specified how the funds will be utilized, but she mentioned that the government plans to renovate these buildings, improve the roads, and tidy up the streets.
In a similar vein, Onijah – whose conferences have become popular sensations across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and what was once known as Twitter – expressed, “Things are absolutely ludicrous. I’m just not feeling it.
In her interactions with Pakistani media at previous press briefings, she has consistently emphasized the need for monetary aid and property investments within the nation.
She stated, “I won’t speak unless you are providing me with land and at least $2,000 per week, or more. Do you understand? I’m obtaining a Pakistani passport and ID.
When Onijah was questioned about her origin, she responded, “I don’t reside here; I’m just hanging out. It’s not really any of your concern. Please return home.
Her bold demeanor and provocative quips have propelled her into internet fame, as one TikTok user noted, “I admire how she never sets boundaries with ‘and more.’
In response to others lauding her bold requests, someone posted on Instagram, “She’s about to rule the entire nation!
TopMob News has made contact with Qatar Airways, Governor Kamran Khan Tessori of Sindh, and the U.S. Consulate in Karachi but has yet to receive a response.
While Onijah has been quiet about her personal life, Razam did provide some insight into his non
profit’s efforts to help her.
He informed UrduPoint that “She is free to remain here if she chooses, or leave if she prefers. The decision lies with her. Our aim is to help her return to her kids and family in the United States, should she wish to do so.
Despite her newfound fame as an internet sensation, Razam stresses, “She’s not just a popular figure; she’s someone’s beloved sister, cherished daughter, and adored mother.
