Many of our readers at Push Square enjoy classic platformer games from the PlayStation 2, so we wanted to let you know about a new title called Duskfade that you might be interested in.
This 3D action platformer is coming to PS5 in 2026 and takes clear inspiration from classic platformers of the 2000s, such as Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter.
I’m playing as Zirian, a kid who’s trying to save his sister. She’s been taken to this weird clock tower, and ever since, the world’s been stuck in endless night. Luckily, I’m not alone – I’ve got my buddy, Cuckoo, helping me out on this rescue mission!
The gameplay appears to involve a lot of fast-paced action, including running, jumping, grinding on rails, using a grapple hook, and fighting enemies with close-quarters combat.
The game features a bright and colourful art style reminiscent of classic platformers, clearly aiming for that nostalgic feel.
