Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Reveals Its Schedule Following the Premiere

Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen is finally here, and it’s been one of the most eagerly awaited anime releases of the year. Now that it’s premiered, details have been revealed about the season’s length and episode release schedule. The season began with a double-episode release, launching the story of the Culling Game arc. Fans who recently saw the Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution movie will find the first two episodes familiar, as they largely cover the same events – the end of the Shibuya arc and Yuji’s trial. The main additions are a new opening and ending sequence.

Now that the new season has begun, fans wondering how long it will be and when new episodes will drop have their answers, thanks to an announcement on the anime’s official X account. Season 3 Part 1 of Jujutsu Kaisen will have 12 episodes in total. With the first episode actually being a two-part premiere, there are ten episodes still to come. New episodes will air every Thursday at 9 a.m. Pacific Time, though some may be delayed slightly. A special episode will also be released during the season.

Episodes 48-54: January 8th – February 12th
Special Episode: February 19th

The third season of Jujutsu Kaisen will release new episodes continuously until February 19, 2026. The following week, a special recap episode will air, summarizing the first seven episodes with new commentary on the season’s events. This is common in anime – a mid-season break is often filled with a recap to keep viewers engaged and build anticipation for the rest of the season. After the recap, new episodes will return weekly for five weeks, concluding the first part of season three on March 26.

The current season of Jujutsu Kaisen is taking a break, but Season 3 will be released in two parts. We’ll find out more about the second part after the first part finishes airing on March 26th. The second part is likely to return after a typical seasonal break, possibly this summer, though it could be delayed until the fall. Some believe the gap between the two parts might be only a month, meaning it could start as early as May. Either way, 2026 looks like a big year for Jujutsu Kaisen, and this season promises to be even more exciting than fans expect.
