Even though Josh Allen sat out the 2026 Golden Globes, Hailee Steinfeld still felt his presence.
While presenting an award at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on January 11th, the pregnant actress – who is expecting her first child with NFL quarterback Josh Allen – received a shout-out to his team, the Buffalo Bills, during the ceremony hosted by Nikki Glaser. (See photos of all the celebrities on the red carpet here.)
The announcer introduced Hailee Steinfeld, star of Sinners, and congratulated her on the Bills’ victory. They also welcomed Golden Globe winner Ayo Edebiri.
Josh skipped a glamorous award show to play in a Bills game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Florida. He made a crucial play – a touchdown with just over a minute remaining – which helped his team win 27-24. This victory marked the Bills’ first playoff win on the road in over thirty years.
Okay, so even though it wasn’t his big night, my athlete friend was definitely checking out the Golden Globes! When Hailee Steinfeld absolutely stunned on the red carpet in a gorgeous peach Prada gown, he immediately shared a picture of her – and let’s just say he was very impressed, adding a drooling emoji to the post. It was a sweet little moment, showing his appreciation for her style!
Hailee also had a successful night, with Sinners winning two awards: Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, and Best Original Score. The show had seven award categories overall.

The Oscar nominee described reading the script as an instinctive reaction. In a February interview with Who What Wear, they explained it was a rare and special feeling – one they’d only experienced a few times in their career – and that, once felt, it’s something you constantly seek out again. It’s both a privilege and a blessing, they said.
She named her character Mary, a light-skinned Black woman living in the South during the time of Jim Crow laws, a part she felt she’d been preparing for her entire career.

She expressed her hope and excitement for the future, saying she looks forward to many more experiences like this one, as she believes they will be a key part of what’s next for her.
