Coronation Street airs major exit in Carla Connor and Lisa Swain story in early ITVX release

Good news for those who root for Carla Connor and Lisa Swain! With Becky Swain’s schemes finally exposed on Coronation Street, Carla and Lisa might be on track for a happy ending together.

Lisa and her fiancée had recently bought a house together when Lisa’s ex-wife, Becky, unexpectedly returned to Manchester. Becky had been living in Spain under witness protection for years and was fueled by jealousy and a desire for revenge. She was determined to win Lisa back, going to extreme lengths – including kidnapping Carla and holding her captive in an abandoned apartment. Lisa, believing she was going on vacation, eventually agreed to leave with Becky and their daughter, Betsy (Sydney Martin).

But during the special Emmerdale episode, things began to fall apart. Kit Green (played by Jacob Roberts) discovered Carla tied up inside a storage container, and they both rushed to Hull in an attempt to prevent the family from driving away.

A chain-reaction crash happened, and Lisa was nearly killed. Becky planned to run away, but as she said goodbye to her partner, Lisa quickly put handcuffs on her, leading to her arrest.

Becky was plotting to implicate Lisa in her troubles while she was in prison last week. But after a stern conversation with Betsy today, she realized she was wrong to do so.

During a visit with her mother, she revealed a shocking truth: her supposed death wasn’t just affecting her own life, but had tragically led to the death of her boyfriend, Mason. He had been relentlessly trying to find out what really happened, and his investigation escalated into a fight with his brothers, who ultimately stabbed and killed him.

It broke my heart to hear that Betsy actually wished she had been the one who didn’t make it, instead of Mason. Then, Lisa had to go to work and find out what happened with Becky’s case after the hearing – it was devastating to learn she’d been sentenced to twelve years in prison.

Things aren’t looking good for her inside, that’s for sure. It’s tough enough being in there, but the other prisoners are giving her a hard time just because she used to be a police officer. I heard she’s been staring at a picture of Betsy, trying to stay strong, but it’s clearly getting to her.

Is this the last we’ve seen of Becky?
