Robin Wright has lost this round of “Siblings or Dating?”

On the Golden Globes red carpet in 2026, the actress from The Girlfriend confessed she didn’t initially realize Dancing With the Stars stars Derek Hough and Julianne Hough were a couple.

Robin told Derek in an interview with Extra on January 11th, while outside the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, that she immediately thought a particular dancer and their partner were married when she first saw them perform.

Derek smoothly handled the potentially awkward situation. “Oh yeah,” he said. “That happens sometimes.”

The 40-year-old, who became a father to Everly Capri with his wife Hayley Erbert in December, excitedly exclaimed, “Brother and sister!”

“You two are great together,” Robin said with a smile. “I enjoy following your adventures on Instagram and seeing what you’re up to.”

Robin and Derek’s interaction definitely turned heads, but it wasn’t the only talked-about moment at the Nikki Glaser-hosted ceremony. Glaser even joked about the incest storyline between Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola from The White Lotus by playfully suggesting that brothers Drew Scott and Jonathan Scott are often mistaken for a couple.

Nikki mentioned during the 83rd annual ceremony that the third season of The White Lotus was the first show to depict incest since all seasons of Property Brothers. She found this fact particularly noteworthy.

The host continued to playfully tease several celebrities during the event, and also made a joke about Leonardo DiCaprio’s relationship with Vittoria Ceretti, who is 27 years old.

Nikki told the 51-year-old, “You’ve had an incredible career! So many memorable performances, and you’ve collaborated with all the best directors. Three Golden Globes and an Oscar – it’s amazing. But honestly, what’s most impressive is that you achieved all this before your girlfriend turned thirty. It’s unbelievable!”
