Hayley Erbert Shares Look at 2 Weeks With Her, Derek Hough’s Daughter

Hayley Erbert is dancing through life thanks to her new addition.

The dancer recently shared the first photos of her life with her new baby, Everley Capri Hough, who she and husband Derek Hough welcomed on December 29th.

As Hayley put it in her Jan. 12 Instagram post, “Two weeks with my greatest love.”

A heartwarming message was paired with a lovely photo of Everley’s hand on her mother’s chest. Hayley wore a necklace with sparkling letters “D” and “E” – representing her daughter and husband – and a tiny diamond.

Hayley’s recent post was the first time she showed off Everley. They had previously announced Everley’s birth on January 5th through Derek’s social media.

When their child was born, the Dancing With the Stars judge shared, “Everything in our lives has brought us to this moment. Our hearts are full, and our lives will never be the same.”

Derek shared a photo with his announcement, which included his daughter’s birthday and name. The black and white picture showed Derek and Hayley holding Everley’s tiny feet in their hands.

Although Derek and Hayley kept details private before their baby was born, Derek happily shared how they were getting ready for the new arrival.

He shared with TopMob News in November that he’s been taking classes with doulas and midwives to prepare for the pregnancy and birth. He explained that he wants to fully understand the process, as they’re expecting a more personal and unique birth experience, and he wants to be as prepared as possible.

And at the time, just the thought of his future baby joining them brought tears to Derek’s eyes.

It really gets to me when I think about having the chance to guide, support, and love someone right from the beginning,” he said.

He smiled and said he was really excited about the future and how this experience would help him grow as a father, as a person, and as a man, leading to positive changes within himself.

Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert first met in 2014 while performing together on a tour with Derek and his sister, Julianne. A producer from Dancing With the Stars was impressed with Hayley and invited her to audition for the show’s dance troupe. She was hired the following year, and she and Derek began dating in 2015, according to the Hutchinson News.

They started attending events together, including the premiere of the Netflix documentary I Am Not Your Guru, featuring Tony Robbins, in 2016.

The dancers first appeared as a couple on the red carpet at a 2017 celebration hosted by the Television Academy’s Choreography Peer Group, held at the Saban Media Center in North Hollywood, California.

Hayley accompanied Derek to the Creative Arts Emmys, where he was up for an award for his choreography on Dancing With the Stars.

Hayley had emergency brain surgery after a blood vessel burst, and Derek was there with her. Over a week later, he shared on Instagram that it was a frightening and uncertain time, going from performing on stage to facing a sudden crisis. He described her recovery as miraculous.

Hayley and Derek were able to continue their Symphony of Dance tour in April 2024 after receiving medical approval. In October, Hayley made a heartwarming return to dancing, performing an emotional routine with her husband to Benson Boone’s song, “Beautiful Things.”

The couple is thrilled to announce they are expecting their first child! They shared the happy news on Instagram with a video of their baby’s sonogram, and Hayley expressed their excitement, saying, “We can’t believe something so small could bring so much joy.”
