Golden Globes 2026: Gracie Abrams And Paul Mescal Have Rare Date Night

Gracie Abrams just wants to be close to Paul Mescal.

The couple enjoyed a rare night out together after the 2026 Golden Globes on January 11th, following the success of his film Hamnet, which won two awards. (You can find the complete list of winners here.)

Gracie wasn’t at the awards show itself, but she joined Paul afterward. They were seen holding hands as they arrived at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles. They seemed to have coordinated their outfits – Gracie wore a shimmering black dress, and Paul, the star of Gladiator II, looked sharp in a classic black suit. They continued the celebration inside the hotel.

There was plenty to celebrate! Paul received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Hamnet, and his co-star, Jessie Buckley, won Best Actress. The film itself was also awarded Best Drama Picture.

Even though they generally prefer to keep their relationship private, they decided to celebrate with a public outing—a rare moment where they’ve shown affection since publicly confirming their romance over the summer.

Last June, Gracie, the daughter of filmmakers J.J. Abrams and Katie McGrath, posted a video of a fun moment at the Glastonbury Music Festival. The video shows Gracie riding on her dad Paul’s shoulders as they both sing along to Olivia Rodrigo’s performance.

Even though they’ve been openly affectionate in public, the couple hasn’t said much about their relationship. The Normal People actor has explained before why they prefer to keep their romance private.

Paul told Rolling Stone in an interview published on September 15th that he cherishes everything about the early days of their relationship and wants to safeguard those memories.
