Since its release, Battlefield 6 has had a number of well-known problems, particularly with its maps, how players earn things in the game, and overall progression. The developers at Battlefield Studios are addressing these issues and have pushed back the start of Season 2 to February 17th. They’re also extending Season 1 with new content instead of ending it on January 20th as originally planned.
We’ve been listening to your feedback and want to deliver the best possible experience. To do that, we’re extending Season 1 and taking more time to improve Season 2. This will allow us to polish and refine it further, keeping our commitment to quality.
A brief teaser for the next season has been released, showing a soldier wearing a gas mask – possibly indicating new gear. This might also hint at maps where players will need to avoid deadly gas. We may get a first look at this feature through Battlefield Labs, which the developers are using to preview upcoming updates still in development.
The extra content for Season 1 and our testing through Battlefield Labs are building the groundwork for future updates and everything coming in Season 2 and beyond.
I’m so hyped for the Season 1 extension! Starting January 27th, we’re getting a new Frostfire Bonus Path with a bunch of cool stuff. I’m definitely excited about the new Soldier Skin, and a Weapon Package is always welcome, plus some XP boosts to help me level up. Even better, they’re giving away a vehicle skin and player card customizations for free! If you grab the Battle Pass, you’ll get even more rewards like another Weapon Package and a Career XP boost – seriously, it’s going to be awesome.
Both the bonus path and Battle Pass will advance as you play, but you can only make progress on the bonus path by completing Weekly Challenges. Plus, you’ll get daily rewards just for logging in throughout the event. Battlefield Studios is planning an update with bug fixes and performance improvements before January 20th, and we’ll share more details soon, so keep an eye out!
