Superman and Spider-Man are getting a crossover from Marvel and DC.
After the popular team-up between Deadpool and Batman last year, Marvel and DC Comics are joining forces again! This time, Spider-Man and Superman will star in two separate one-shot comics. Both companies will release their own version – DC’s will be available in March, and Marvel’s in April.
What else do we know about the Spider-Man & Superman crossover?
The first issue of the Marvel/DC crossover, Spider-Man/Superman, is scheduled to be released on April 15, 2026. Brad Meltzer is writing the main story, with artwork by Pepe Larraz, and the issue will also include several additional stories featuring characters from both universes.

The first issue of Spider-Man/Superman will feature a showdown between Clark Kent and Peter Parker against their iconic enemies, Lex Luthor and Norman Osborn, also known as the Green Goblin. The story will focus on these villains taking advantage of the heroes’ biggest vulnerabilities.
Two exciting team-ups are coming to the Spider-Verse and beyond! Dan Slott and Marcos Martin are bringing together Spider-Man Noir and a classic version of Superman in a 1930s adventure. Meanwhile, Geoff Johns and Gary Frank will explore a partnership between the Superman and Spider-Man families as they battle Mysterio. Other pairings include Jane Foster as Thor joining forces with Wonder Woman against a symbiote invasion (written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Russell Dauterman), and a showdown between Steel and the Hobgoblin penned by Louise Simonson with art by Todd Nauck.
A team-up between Gwen Stacy and Lana Lang is coming from Joe Kelly and Humberto Ramos, and Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli will be bringing Miles Morales and Superman together in another exciting story.
Meltzer shared that writing this book was a lifelong dream, something he’d been wanting to do for fifty years. He explained that the superheroes Superman and Spider-Man have had a bigger impact on his life than many actual people, and that their influence is deeply woven into his personal values. He was thrilled to be asked by Nick Lowe and Marvel to write the story, and is excited for readers to experience the artwork by Pepe. He playfully encouraged fans to prepare for a superheroic adventure!
Marvel’s C.B. Cebulski shared his excitement about partnering with DC again for a massive crossover event. This collaboration celebrates 50 years since Spider-Man and Superman first teamed up. He’s eager for fans, both old and new, to enjoy the incredible stories being created, which will introduce fresh, easy-to-follow adventures featuring the expanding families of both heroes as they meet for the first time.
The first issue of Spider-Man/Superman boasts cover art by Larraz, with variant covers created by a large group of artists including Mark Bagley, Greg Capullo, Ryan Stegman, Peach Momoko, and many others like Ivan Talavera, E.M. Gist, Jerome Opeña, Marcos Martin, Adam Hughes, Russell Dauterman, Skottie Young, Erik Larsen, Frank Miller, Pichelli, Frank, Ramos, Walter Simonson, Kaare Andrews, David Marquez, and Sanford Greene.
