Dan Panosian and Giorgio Spalletta reimagined Alice in Wonderland as a dark and mature comic series, starting with Alice Ever After in 2022. The critically praised book captivated readers and was followed by Alice Never After in 2023. This week saw the release of the final installment, Alice Forever After. Despite the increased danger for Alice, fans are clearly excited to return to Wonderland – the first issue has already sold out, but more copies are being printed.
Boom! Studios announced that the first issue of Alice Forever After has completely sold out and is being reprinted. The second printing will be available in comic shops on February 25th. This new edition will also feature a brand-new cover by artist Enid Balam, known for her work on Hawkeye: Kate Bishop, which you can see below.
It Isn’t Just Alice In Danger in Alice Forever After

The story picks up with Alice years after she returned from Wonderland, now living a peaceful life with her daughter, Evelyn. However, Wonderland is falling apart, and a bitter Cheshire Cat believes there’s only one way to save it – but it doesn’t involve Alice this time. As the magical realm crumbles, Alice must face the demons of her past adventures to protect Evelyn, before those past experiences endanger everything she holds dear. While the first story, Alice Ever After, showed Alice battling addiction as an adult and returning to Wonderland to escape a difficult life, this sequel focuses on her protecting her daughter from the consequences of a decaying Wonderland.
The second issue of Alice Forever After will be available in stores alongside the third issue, giving new readers a chance to start the series immediately without waiting. Recently, ComicBook provided a preview of the second issue, revealing a more complex and dangerous situation for Alice and her daughter as the Cheshire Cat’s power increases. You can view the preview here.
The second printing of Alice Forever After #1 goes on sale February 25th at comic book shops.
