IO Interactive recently revised the recommended PC specifications for playing 007 First Light after initially suggesting a surprisingly high 32 GB of RAM for 1080p/60 FPS gameplay. The updated specs now recommend 16 GB of RAM, along with a reduction in required VRAM from 12 GB to 8 GB.
We have some good news regarding system requirements! You can now enjoy the game at 1080p resolution with 30 frames per second using a graphics card with just 6 GB of VRAM. The amount of RAM needed hasn’t changed, but we’ve reduced the processor requirement to an Intel Core i5-9500, instead of the i5-9500K.
IO Interactive explained that a mistake within the company led to the release of outdated system requirements. After players noticed discrepancies and raised concerns, the team double-checked everything and ran more tests. The corrected requirements are now available on all platforms.
Players can expect to hear more about how the game will run on different hardware settings soon after launch. This likely includes specifics on graphics options, and IOI may share details about requirements for features like 4K resolution, Ultra settings, and ray tracing – particularly if they include support for DLSS 4.
The action-adventure game 007 First Light will be released on May 27th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. It was originally scheduled for March but faced a delay. At The Game Awards 2025, it was also revealed that Lenny Kravitz will be playing the role of the new villain, Bawma.
