As of yesterday, details about the second season of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves unexpectedly appeared online. This happened without any prior announcement or trailer from the game’s publisher, SNK.
It seems the trailer leaked online, and now we have an official version. However, considering how it looks, the company likely should have let the gaming website Game Spark handle the reveal – the current trailer is really not good.
The combination of the poor English dubbing and the artificial-looking characters created by AI makes it hard to understand the company’s creative choices.
The new season starts on January 22nd. You might want to avoid the trailer, though – it could spoil your enjoyment of what’s otherwise a really exciting show.
It’s unclear if SNK meant for this to be revealed yet, but six new characters are coming to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves by June, and two of them are currently unknown.
A recent trailer strongly suggests that Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star will be a playable character, but he isn’t included on the character release schedule posted by the Japanese gaming website Game Spark.
So far, the confirmed lineup is as follows:
- January: Kim Jae Hoon
- February: Nightmare Geese
- March: Blue Mary
- April: Wolfgang Krauser
- May: Mystery Character
- June: Mystery Character
Season 2 is scheduled to last until June, which opens up the possibility of seeing even more characters added to the game in 2026, if development continues as planned.
We don’t know how much the new content will cost yet, but Kim Jae Hoon will be available starting January 22nd, so the wait won’t be long!
We’ll keep this article updated with any new details SNK announces, as it seems Game Spark might have reported this information prematurely.
