Jujutsu Kaisen Teams Up With BTS For Hilarious Crossover

The manga series Jujutsu Kaisen has just concluded, but there’s still plenty of story and fights left for the anime adaptation to cover. Interestingly, Jujutsu Tech is making headlines due to the upcoming release of the compilation film, “Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory/Premature Death,” which will soon hit cinemas in the West. Unsurprisingly, the tale of Yuji Itadori and his companions strikes a chord with anime enthusiasts everywhere, making it highly popular. In an exciting turn of events, one of the prominent members of the South Korean pop group BTS has expressed admiration for Gege Akutami’s work, further boosting its popularity.

In the course of their professional journey, BTS has consistently kept fans informed about their activities and whereabouts. During one of their recent fan interactions, member Kim Namjoon (RM) demonstrated his affection for the anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” by donning a shirt featuring Yuji Itadori and Sukuna. Interestingly, he took this fandom a step further by flashing a “Domain Expansion” hand gesture, indicating that RM is an avid fan of the supernatural shonen series. Although BTS has had connections with the anime world previously, this latest interaction creates an intriguing link between BTS and Jujutsu Tech.

The BTS Anime

Although there isn’t a specific anime titled “BTS The Anime,” some members of the band have appeared in their own show, namely “7Fates: Chakho.” This Korean webtoon transports several band members into a fantastical, supernatural realm. Though it’s just a short film, it was produced by the renowned studio CloverWorks, known for hits such as “The Promised Neverland,” “Spy x Family,” and “The Elusive Samurai.” Fortunately, you can watch the entirety of “7Fates” for free by clicking here.

Speaking of “Jujutsu Kaisen”, it was announced at this year’s Anime Expo that work on season 3 has already begun. Although MAPPA didn’t provide an exact release date for the Culling Game, voice actors have already started reprising their roles in the studio. This upcoming storyline could potentially rival the intensity of the Shibuya Incident Arc.

To recap for those who’ve been absent from Jujutsu Tech for a while, Yuji has been evading his previous allies due to the devastation wrought by Sukuna. With Yuta Okkotsu from “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” being dispatched by Jujutsu Tech in pursuit of him, an unprecedented battle is hinted for the upcoming third season. Whenever MAPPA’s show resumes, it will undoubtedly be one of the most anticipated anime events of that year.
