In a tweet, Shigeru Miyamoto announced that Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will portray Link and Bo Bragason will play Zelda in the upcoming movie. Miyamoto is eager to see both actors on the big screen when the film premieres on May 7th, 2027.
Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, aged 16, is a talented British thespian who has showcased his skills in productions such as “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” “Son of a Critch,” and “Pinocchio.” Similarly, Bo Bragason, at 21 years old, is another gifted British actor who has graced our screens in projects like “King and Conqueror,” “The Jetty,” and “The Radleys.
In the production process, Avi Arad (known for films such as “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, “Venom”, and “Iron Man”) is overseeing the development, while Wes Ball (renowned for “Maze Runner”) will be at the helm as the director.
