Legally Blonde Prequel Elle Premiere Date and First Look Revealed

Elle Woods will march her last season Prada shoes onto screens this summer.

I’m so excited to share some fun news! Reese Witherspoon just let us know that the Legally Blonde prequel series, Elle, is coming to Prime Video on July 1st! It stars the incredibly talented Lexi Minetree as Elle Woods, and I have a feeling this is going to be a must-watch!

Reese Witherspoon shared that she was feeling emotional because the movie Legally Blonde was released 25 years ago in July. She told Lexi and her co-stars – Chandler Kinney, Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz, and Zac Looker – in an Instagram post on January 21st that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the film.

The Morning Show star added, “We get to have a new Elle Woods in the world!”

But Reese’s exciting news didn’t end with the show’s premiere date.

The executive producer, 49, shared some exciting news: Amazon loved the show and has ordered a second season. He had just finished a call with them when he announced it.

Prime Video has shared the first images of Elle from the upcoming series, which focuses on her time in high school. The photos also offer a glimpse into her relationship with her parents, who are played by June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott.

Oh my gosh, can you believe it’s been twenty-five years since we all first met Elle Woods?! It’s seriously a dream come true that they’re finally telling the whole story of how she became the total powerhouse we adore! And honestly, seeing Lexi Minetree become Elle? It’s been the most amazing thing ever, Reese Witherspoon said so herself! I’m SO excited to see her fill those fabulous shoes!

She explained that the show’s focus on kindness, being true to yourself, and self-belief will appeal to both longtime fans and new viewers. She’s excited to release the first season and begin filming the second!

Ahead of Elle’s July 1 release date, read on to learn of other TV shows premiering soon.

I’m absolutely hooked on this story! It all started with these incredible real-life people just trying to survive in the toughest part of London back in the 1880s. Now, a year later, it’s heartbreaking – Hezekiah is completely broken, and Sugar? He’s lost everything, just spiraling with the drink. Just when you think Wapping is finished, Mary Carr comes roaring back! She’s got Alice Diamond by her side, and she’s determined to get her crew back together and take what’s rightfully hers. Of course, Mary always has a scheme brewing, and this one… this one feels different. It’s way more dangerous, and it’s going to pull everyone she cares about right into the middle of it. I can’t wait to see what happens!

As a lifestyle expert, I’m already buzzing about the new series everyone’s talking about! Evan Peters is absolutely captivating as an FBI agent, and he’s joined by Rebecca Hall as they investigate a really bizarre virus. It’s not your typical illness – it actually transforms people into what society considers ‘perfect,’ but with some seriously scary side effects. The minds behind it – Ryan Murphy and Matthew Hodgson – have crafted something truly unique. In fact, Evan himself described it to TopMob News as an ‘international sci-fi satirical body horror action thriller,’ and honestly, that description couldn’t be more spot-on. It’s a wild ride!

The film also features Ashton Kutcher and Jeremy Pope, with guest appearances by Bella Hadid, Isabella Rossellini, Ben Platt, Jessica Alexander, and Vincent D’Onofrio.
