Colin Egglesfield Shares Health Update After Cancer Journey

Colin Egglesfield is in recovery.

Following his announcement of a third cancer diagnosis last January, the actor from Something Borrowed shared positive news: he is now cancer-free and doing well.

Colin was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2024 and had surgery to remove it soon after. Thankfully, he’s been cancer-free for almost a year now.

Colin shared in an interview with Will Marfuggi from TopMob News that he’ll reach a one-year milestone in February since his diagnosis. He was relieved that it was caught early enough to avoid needing radiation or chemotherapy, something he really wanted to prevent.

Things weren’t always easy for the former All My Children actor, who remembers feeling differently when he was first diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2006, and again in 2007.

Colin said he almost waited too long before getting checked. The surgery revealed the cancer had spread to his lymph nodes, which meant he needed radiation treatment. He added that he really didn’t want to have to go through all of that again.

Although the 52-year-old has faced difficulties with his treatment, he remains optimistic about a positive outcome.

Honestly, recovery hasn’t been simple. There have been tough parts, like relearning basic things and dealing with intimate health issues. But knowing this is likely behind me now, and that I can finally start looking forward, fills me with so much gratitude. It’s a huge weight off my shoulders.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m just SO thrilled for him! He’s finally free to really focus on the things he loves, you know? Like, he’s been doing these amazing motivational speaking gigs, and it’s not just some act. He’s really drawing on everything he’s been through, and all his experience as an actor, to help other people find their own confidence. It’s seriously inspiring to watch!

I work with people who are feeling unfulfilled, stuck, or facing challenges,” Colin explained. “I guide them to think of themselves as screenwriters, rewriting their life stories and creating a strong, heroic version of themselves that they can embody to achieve their goals and leave a lasting impact.

Colin emphasizes living in the present moment, because tomorrow isn’t promised. He’s realized that true happiness doesn’t come from external things, but from slowing down, practicing gratitude, and facing challenges head-on. If he’s unhappy, he takes action to create the life he wants.

He’s particularly proud of the results his clients achieve at his four-day Inspire Rejuvenation Retreat, where people can escape distractions and focus on personal well-being.

I work with people who are feeling unfulfilled, stuck, or facing challenges,” Colin explained. “I guide them to think of their lives like a movie script – to rewrite it and create a strong, heroic version of themselves that allows them to achieve their goals and leave the impact they desire.

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.

She didn’t reveal her diagnosis until 2025, sharing on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.

She explained that many girls are taught to accept period pain as a normal part of being a woman. This often leads to suffering in silence with something that impacts a large part of the female population.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she’d been hospitalized for a hernia, which is a weak spot in the abdominal or groin muscles. She said it was caused by wearing very tight pants.

Someone messaged Suki on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, asking why she hadn’t been tweeting. Suki jokingly replied, hinting she’d been dealing with a painful injury – a hernia caused by wearing very tight pants six months ago – and hadn’t felt comfortable sharing it.

The former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery to fix a nearly ruptured appendix.

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from a cement truck accident he experienced at age 11 continue to cause him problems now.

“It’s been a really tough time,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been experiencing spasms all over my body, and doctors actually told me last year that my condition was life-threatening.”

He explained that his pain is intermittent, and described having some physical imperfections, saying, “My body isn’t quite perfect.”

A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital in severe back pain, saying he had to crawl because it was so bad. The pain flared up during a road trip he was taking with a friend.

I was sharing on my podcast recently how strange my body has been feeling. I still get tingling sensations down to my toes, which is really odd! To give you some context, just a few weeks ago I was comfortably squatting around 295 pounds. Now? I can barely do a squat at all. Even trying to balance on one foot is impossible – I just fall over. It honestly feels like I’ve had a stroke, it’s that disorienting.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Gina Kirschenheiter, from The Real Housewives of Orange County, revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he is recovering well.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! My idol, the incredible star of 30 Rock, had a scary moment at a Knicks game back in March 2025. I heard he wasn’t feeling well and they actually had to wheel him out of Madison Square Garden! I was so worried! It was terrifying to even think about, but thankfully he seems to be okay now. Still, it was a really scary situation!

The comedian later posted on social media to explain that he hadn’t been feeling well due to food poisoning, but was now recovering.

In February 2025, the former Even Stevens star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday outing with her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a trip to go clay pigeon shooting when the incident occurred.

In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a weapon unsafely. Thankfully, @thebrendanrooney quickly helped her, determined the extent of her injuries, and took her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet came dangerously close to her right eye – less than an inch away.

The former Kim Possible star shared that a small piece of something is stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, and they’ll be keeping a close watch on the situation, but thankfully their vision is currently normal.

The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving a frightening experience. She shared how much she cherishes her daughters, husband, family, and friends, explaining that she realized how precious life is. “Seeing my life pass before me made me understand that you should hug your loved ones whenever you get the chance, because things can change so quickly,” she said.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its often harsh nature, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing online comments about her “puffy” face during interviews, she was surprised to see doctors commenting, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome. They pointed out changes in her face that concerned them. This led Amy to realize she had been receiving steroid injections for procedures like a breast reduction and C-section, which could have caused the condition. She wouldn’t have connected the symptoms without the online feedback. Amy recently shared that she’s relieved to have a form of Cushing syndrome that will resolve on its own, and that she’s healthy – news she called “the greatest imaginable.”

During a game in December 2024, an American Hockey League player was accidentally cut in the face by another player’s skate and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. Let me tell you, back in March 2022, I was so worried about Hailey Bieber! She was having breakfast with Justin when she suddenly started having what sounded like stroke-like symptoms. She shared on YouTube that Justin noticed something was wrong and asked if she was okay, but she couldn’t even respond. She tried to speak, but the words just wouldn’t come out, and the right side of her face started to droop. Thankfully, it stopped and her speech came back, but she immediately went to the hospital to get checked out. It turned out she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which doctors called a TIA. Later, they discovered she had a hole in her heart, a PFO, and that’s how the clot had gotten to her brain. She had a procedure to close the hole, and I’m so relieved to say she’s doing great now! It was a really scary time, but thankfully everything worked out.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also went through a difficult time. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on one side. He also shared that it had become increasingly difficult to eat.

Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary and random, but assuring everyone that he would be okay and was grateful he was on the mend.

Jamie Foxx initially kept his health issues private after being hospitalized in April 2023, but he later shared what happened. He described experiencing a severe headache and losing consciousness before he could take an aspirin, ultimately not remembering the next 20 days.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, became concerned and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he’d suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke.

After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.

He expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying, “I needed every prayer.”

The reality TV star shared that she briefly stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC show.

She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, she remembers only darkness, followed by light, leading her to realize she had died that day.

She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where your body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, bravely shared her health struggles in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker titled “A Battle for My Life.” While filming the series, she experienced a severe headache while at the gym, which quickly escalated. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.

A hospital scan revealed she’d suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain – resulting from a ruptured aneurysm. She underwent immediate surgery, which she described as incredibly painful. During her recovery, she temporarily lost her ability to speak, often muttering incoherently.

Though she recovered and was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure was initially unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors needed to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia is now fully recovered and feeling completely well.

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently shared how thankful she is for her family’s support after a serious health scare. In January 2024, Cori suffered a stroke and immediately reached out to her loved ones. She told TopMob News that everyone quickly came to her aid.

Her hospital stay ended up being longer than expected due to other health issues. While she could have gone home after the stroke, Cori explained that she was also battling lupus and kidney problems.

Thankfully, Cori is now recovering well. She says she’s feeling great and has been working to regain some motor skills, but is otherwise doing fine.

Shailene Woodley struggled with her health throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue – unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing hours of sleep – and constant stomach pain. She received multiple diagnoses from different doctors, making it difficult to find answers.

Shailene, who has kept the specific condition private, decided to take a holistic approach, combining traditional medical doctors with alternative healers and her own studies in herbalism. This search for well-being lasted for ten years.

She explained that the physical discomfort led to anxiety around food and eventually to struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body.

Fortunately, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental health, Shailene is now feeling much better and is happy to report that she is very healthy.
