Michael B. Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld and More Sinners Stars’ Love Lives

The key to the success of Sinners, which received an impressive 16 Oscar nominations on January 22nd, is the strong creative partnership between star Michael B. Jordan and director Ryan Coogler.

Having previously collaborated on successful films like 2013’s Fruitvale Station, 2015’s Creed, and both Black Panther movies, the director naturally turned to Michael B. Jordan to star in his new project. Jordan takes on a challenging dual role as twin brothers, Smoke and Stack—Chicago gangsters who head back to the Mississippi Delta in the 1930s with plans to open a nightclub—in this vampire horror film.

Jordan explained to Daryn Carp of TopMob News at the Critics Choice Awards on January 4th that filming involved a strong collaborative energy. After winning four more awards, he said everyone on set worked together and fed off each other’s energy.

Oh my gosh, it was amazing! He and the rest of the cast – Hailee Steinfeld, Delroy Lindo, Miles Caton, Francine Maisler, Wunmi Mosaku, and Omar Benson Miller – totally swept the Golden Globes, winning two more awards! I was screaming, honestly. They deserved it!

Jordan described a strong sense of community among the cast and crew, meaning many will likely attend events together for the rest of the season, including the Oscars. He’s hoping to win the Best Actor award, and fellow first-time nominees Lindo and Mosaku were also recognized for their performances in supporting roles.

Although he attended the Golden Globes with his mother, Donna Jordan, many of his fellow cast members will likely be accompanied by different family members on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre on March 15th.

Both Steinfeld and Mosaku are expecting! Mosaku revealed she’s pregnant with her second child at the Golden Globes, while Steinfeld received support from her husband, Josh Allen, as he led his team to a win in the NFL playoffs.

Now that the cast of Sinners is celebrating their win, let’s meet the team who supported them along the way.

It’s been two years since Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey broke up, and he’s not actively searching for a new relationship. Jordan, who stars in and directs the upcoming film Sinners playing twin gangsters named Smoke and Stack, seems content being single right now.

Although they never publicly dated, Jordan and Russell once worked together on a planned remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, with Jordan set to star and direct. However, Russell eventually left the project due to disagreements about the creative direction.

In 2023, actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld started dating Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills.

In November 2025, six months after marrying NFL player Morgan Cox, Sadie Sink—who portrays Stack’s ex-girlfriend Mary—told Bustle that the stability she found in her relationship is beyond words. She expressed immense gratitude for finding her life partner, calling it ‘the greatest thing in the world’ and explaining that it brought clarity and meaning to her life.

And now the newlyweds are eager to add to their squad, revealing her pregnancy in December. 

The True Grit actress shared that she feels like she’s finally becoming the person she’s always wanted to be, and a lot of that is thanks to her partner.

Wunmi Mosaku, who was born in Nigeria and grew up in England, sometimes wonders how different her life would be if she hadn’t pursued acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. As she shared in a 2021 interview with Schon Magazine, she definitely wouldn’t have met her American husband – and she considers that a very good thing!

Mosaku admitted her life could have taken a completely different path. However, she went on to win a BAFTA award in 2016 and subsequently moved to the United States with her husband, who works in the entertainment industry but prefers to keep a low profile.

She appeared in shows like Luther, Lovecraft Country, and Loki, but she felt a particularly strong connection to the role of Annie. Annie is a Hoodoo practitioner and the grieving, estranged wife of a character named Smoke, mourning the loss of their baby.

Annie, a recent Oscar nominee, told W Magazine that motherhood is deeply important to both her and herself. She started working on a film just seven months after having a baby girl and revealed she was expecting another child at the Golden Globes. She shared that she hoped to learn from other mothers, saying, ‘I can learn from her as a mother.’

After over thirty years of marriage, artist and educator Neshormeh Lindo is accustomed to the different sides of her husband’s personality. Delroy Lindo, an actor originally from London, admitted to Denver Urban Spectrum in November 2025 that while he tries to keep his work and personal life separate, the two sometimes overlap.

When asked if he ever brings his characters to life outside of his work, the New York University alumnus jokingly replied that his wife would confirm he does.

The mixed media artist, who shares a son named Damiri with Delroy, became well-acquainted with Delta Slim, the role that first earned the veteran actor an Academy Award nomination.

When asked about his natural charisma, he joked, “You’d have to ask my wife!” He explained that he doesn’t try to be charming, but instead focuses on finding the human side of each character he portrays, and he suspects that’s what people perceive as charm.

Peter Dreimanis, who plays a local KKK member named Bert, and Leah Fay Goldstein have been performing together for fifteen years. Dreimanis discovered Goldstein and they formed the Canadian alternative rock band July Talk.

Oh my gosh, I still remember when Fay Goldstein talked about him! She said she’d never met anyone like him, and it was the most amazing thing. Apparently, he was the only person in all of Toronto wearing cowboy boots back in 2010! Can you believe it? She said it was just…intriguing. It was such a small detail, but it totally captured his vibe, you know? It was like he didn’t even try to fit in, and I instantly fell in love with that about him.

Dreimanis, who also stars alongside this person in the upcoming 2025 film Middle Life, described how they balance each other out creatively. “I’m the one who likes to get things done and really do the work,” he explained, “while they’re more of a big-picture person—observing and thinking things through. That difference really pushes both of us to be better.”

After ten years together, Lola Kirke and her boyfriend, Wyndham Boylan-Garnett, have become skilled at creating lovely music as a couple.

Wyndham and I started our relationship by renting a house in upstate New York. We spent a lot of time drinking wine and teaching ourselves to play guitar, hoping to eventually be able to perform the songs at parties or even record them, she told Relix magazine in 2019.

Besides her roles in shows like Mozart in the Jungle and Gone Girl, and the film Sinners (where she plays Joan, Bert’s wife), Kirke collaborates with Boylan-Garnett on albums – their 2018 release, Heart Head West, is a prime example. She told Newsweek that they both share a deep appreciation for classic music.
