A new movie now streaming on Paramount+ features two actors famous for playing the villain Two-Face in different Batman films. Many actors have taken on the role of Two-Face across various Batman projects, but Jim Carrey and Aaron Eckhart are particularly well-known from the big screen. Tommy Lee Jones played Two-Face in 1995’s Batman Forever, directed by Joel Schumacher, which followed Tim Burton’s films. Though that movie wasn’t well-received by critics, the 2008 film starring Heath Ledger as the Joker and Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face was much more successful.
A thriller film called Wander, featuring Aaron Eckhart and Tommy Lee Jones, is currently very popular on Paramount+. Released in 2020, it’s now among the top 10 most-watched movies on the streaming service, alongside recent additions like The Running Man and Roofman, as well as established favorites such as Jack Reacher and Shooter.
I just finished watching Wander, and it’s a really unsettling thriller directed by April Mullen. Aaron Eckhart plays a former detective haunted by a particularly gruesome, unsolved case – a man literally exploded from the inside, and then the body vanished! After a personal tragedy and a subsequent mental health struggle, he’s now a true crime podcaster and PI. The film follows him as he takes on a missing person case in Wander, New Mexico, and quickly finds himself tangled in a massive conspiracy. The really clever part? As things get weirder, you start to question whether what he’s uncovering is real, or just a product of his own fractured psyche. It’s a gripping watch that keeps you guessing.
Is Wander Worth Streaming on Paramount+?

The film Wander is a suspenseful thriller centered around Arthur Bretnik, played by Aaron Eckhart, a man struggling with mental instability and convinced that conspiracies are all around him. His close friend, Jimmy Cleats (Tommy Lee Jones), assists him with a podcast and investigation, fueling Arthur’s beliefs. As the story unfolds, Arthur discovers that some of his theories might actually be true.
The film Wander premiered at film festivals in 2020, and Saban Films later released it in a few theaters and for streaming that same year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it didn’t perform well in cinemas and was largely overlooked. Critics gave it a low score of 32% on Rotten Tomatoes, acknowledging Aaron Eckhart’s acting but finding the plot overly complicated. Audience reaction was even more negative, with a 29% rating, as many viewers felt the film failed to effectively convey its political themes.
