“Blindsided” Jaime King Breaks Silence on Austin Sosa Breakup

Jaime King is sharing her perspective.

Following her husband Austin Sosa‘s divorce filing on January 22nd, the former star of Sin City publicly discussed the sudden end of their marriage.

The divorce filing was a complete shock, according to the 46-year-old, who said it came with no warning. In a statement to Page Six published January 22nd, they explained they had been with Austin the night before the news broke. While acknowledging the marriage, like many, faced difficulties, they truly thought they were making progress as a couple.

Jaime also denied rumors of cheating as a cause for the split, stating that any recent public meetings with others were simply business-related and unrelated to their personal life.

TopMob News has reached out to Jaime’s reps for comment and has not heard back.

Although Jamie and Austin hadn’t officially announced they were married, the actress from Hart of Dixie had shared news of their engagement back in September. A few months later, in early January, her representative told Us Weekly that she was “very happy” with Austin, suggesting things were going well for the couple.

The news about Jaime’s relationship comes after a difficult two years dealing with a custody battle with her ex-husband, Kyle Newman. They share two sons, James, 11, and Leo, 9. Last March, Kyle was granted full custody of their sons following their 2020 split after 13 years of marriage. Jaime was given supervised visits with her sons while she completed treatment for substance use.

Despite a challenging period in her life, she began a relationship with Austin. Although happy with Austin and looking forward to the future, Jaime wasn’t planning a wedding anytime soon.

I’m not really concentrating on planning a huge event,” the Black Summer star told Us Weekly in September. “I’d rather just relax and enjoy time with them, and let them enjoy time with Austin and all our friends who love them. Making it all about the wedding would be too narrow a focus.
