Okay, so I just stumbled across this awesome new free-to-play first-person shooter on Steam, and it’s getting amazing reviews – seriously, 100% positive! But here’s the weird thing: Valve hasn’t officially said if it works well on the Steam Deck, so if you have one, you’ll probably want to download it and test it out yourself. I’ve been reading through all the Steam reviews, and it’s strange – nobody’s mentioned how it runs on the Deck yet. Hopefully it works great!
A new free game called Potion Knights has just launched on Steam from developer Studio Knight Shift, and it’s getting a lot of positive attention. While free games often receive inflated ratings, Potion Knights stands out with nearly perfect reviews. Players are noting that, despite its short length, the game is incredibly enjoyable, and many appreciate its retro, PS1-style graphics.
An Up-Tempo First-Person Shooter
Potion Knight is a fast-paced, action-packed first-person shooter set in the medieval village of Cronenberg. A harsh winter has descended, and the village is plagued by creatures trying to steal what little warmth remains. Players must fight to survive and defeat the evil alchemist responsible for the chaos.
The most popular review calls the game “quite fun,” even though it’s short. Players enjoy trying to beat the high score. Reviewers also praised the game’s cool mechanics, particularly the slip ‘n’ slide upgrade, which allowed for fast movement. They found the combat engaging and appreciated the boss fight as a welcome addition.
