Why VPR’s Scheana Shay Says Husband Brock Davies’ Affair Was “Karma”

Scheana Shay is getting candid about one of the worst times of her life.

Indeed, following her disclosure in 2020 about her husband Brock Davies‘s infidelity while she was carrying their daughter Summer Moon, the former star of “Vanderpump Rules” explained that his unfaithfulness seemed like a form of retribution for her past affair with Eddie Cibrian in 2006.

In a heart-to-heart with Us Weekly, published on the 16th of July, I couldn’t help but exclaim that it seemed like justice had finally been served. Was I owed infidelity from Brock? Absolutely not. But in my heart, I chose to believe that I had earned it somehow.

The 40-year-old explained to the outlet that each day requires effort from him. He acknowledges that he’ll always grapple with insecurities, such as recently when he noticed him deleting a text and wondered what it meant. His partner responded with “Seriously, Scheana?” but he trusts him and has forgiven him, believing there won’t be another incident like that.

Moreover, Scheana mentioned, “We’ve invested effort in couples counseling. Our communication is transparent. I wish to demonstrate to people that if you deeply care for someone, a past error should not dictate the course of your relationship’s future.

However, regarding her own past error – a long-term relationship with Eddie while he was married to Brandi Glanville – Scheana feels that she unfairly accepted responsibility for the affair. It was actually Eddie who deceived her during their romantic involvement.

After numerous counseling sessions and having an open conversation about it, they concluded that the book wouldn’t ring true if they didn’t include everything.

Plus, Scheana is ready to fully stand in her truth.

She declared, “I’ve got my voice, and I intend to wield it.” She expressed her immense pride in the person she has evolved into. “I’m no longer the 21-year-old girl who was chasing after boys at clubs,” she emphasized.

It’s important to remember that the entire series stemmed from Scheana Shay’s relationship with actor Eddie Cibrian, who was already married to Brandi Glanville, a former star on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” While Brandi was pregnant with their second child, Scheana began dating him. The dramatic confrontation between the two women at SUR, arranged by Lisa Vanderpump, marked the transition from one episode of “RHOBH” to “Vanderpump Rules,” creating what can be considered the sneakiest and messiest crossover ever!

In contrast to asserting he remained faithful to girlfriend Stassi Schroeder during the entire first season, Jax Taylor eventually confessed in the final episode that, indeed, he had been unfaithful to her in Las Vegas and fathered a child with another woman.

The confession left Stassi, as well as the entire cast who had previously supported and aligned themselves with him during their breakup, utterly astonished.

In the second season of the series, one of the most talked-about romantic entanglements occurred when Jax admitted to sleeping with Kristen Doute, a close friend of Stassi. Interestingly, Kristen was in a relationship with Tom Sandoval, who is Jax’s best friend at the time.

Initially denying it, Kristen eventually acknowledged they had a non-kissing encounter during the finale. Interestingly, this happened as they were watching the movie “Drive,” starring Ryan Gosling, with Tom asleep in another room. This led to Stassi slapping Kristen and Tom punching Jax, an event that became quite memorable.

Seasons later, Kristen later admitted to cheating on Tom throughout their six-year relationship.

After Ariana Madix became part of the cast in season two, Kristen began to harbor doubts about Tom’s friendship with another bartender. Though both denied ever having an affair while Tom was still dating Kristen, Ariana famously said during a heated moment, “I’m more intelligent than you. I’m more attractive than you. Just move on,” which caused quite a stir. However, it wasn’t until the season two reunion that Tom admitted to having kissed Ariana in a pool while they were both in Las Vegas.

When Andy Cohen inquired if she was concerned about Tom’s past indiscretions following his admission to cheating on Kristen multiple times, Ariana responded, “I’ve been acquainted with him for three years and I know him quite well. It doesn’t bother me in the least.” (A deep sigh.)

Following Tom and Ariana’s public confirmation of their relationship, it was disclosed in season three that a woman contacted Kristen via Instagram, asserting she had slept with Tom while he was in Miami with Jax and Schwartz. In fact, Kristen brought this alleged “Miami Woman” to SUR for a confrontation with Tom. However, Ariana didn’t consider the accusation credible after Tom firmly denied the charges, and the couple promptly left the restaurant.

Initially, it appeared as though Jax betrayed his friend by supporting the allegation against him. Following their split in 2023, Tom and Ariana, Jax – who departed the show in 2020 – posted a mysterious tweet instead.

He penned, “On that program, I’ve made numerous statements that many found unbelievable. However, whatever I assert usually turns out to be accurate.

Ever since Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney tied the knot in 2016, I’ve been a bit obsessed with following their journey. You know what really sent shockwaves through the fan base? During season six, ol’ Tom confessed to locking lips with one of Lala Kent’s pals under the influence, oh boy!

When asked about the story, Schwartz stated that his memory was unclear. In a 2018 episode, he said, “It’s impossible. After 12 years together, Katie and Schwartz announced their breakup in March 2022. 

In a 2014 broadcast, Jax asserted that Katie had been unfaithful to Schwartz by performing an intimate act known as “motorboating” on an unknown man. This information was passed on to him by Scheana. The accusation enraged Katie, and in the end, Scheana offered her apologies for spreading the story among their colleagues.

In a Bravo blog post, Scheana clarified, “I never accused her of cheating; I only shared my observations. After discussing it with Katie, I now understand that the situation was not what it appeared to be. When she leaned down to remove her shoes, her head happened to be in that area. Additionally, when she was dancing while intoxicated and moving her head back and forth, it certainly looked like she was ‘grinding’ on a man. However, Katie did not cheat; I felt she overstepped a boundary.

After thorough investigation – such as examining Uber bills – Kristen discovered that her boyfriend, James Kennedy, had been unfaithful to her with one of Scheana’s friends during season four. He denied it directly to her, merely stating they might have shared a kiss, but later confessed in an interview: “The fact is, Jenna and I were indeed having an affair.” And so, a fresh iconic .GIF was created!

Moreover, it wasn’t just one instance where James was unfaithful to Kristen. In addition, he was involved with DJ Lala when she thought he was single, and he also had affairs with Lauren, another SUR hostess, who was in a committed relationship with yet another employee at the restaurant.

In the fifth season, following his split from Kristen, James started seeing Raquel Leviss, a student and beauty pageant contestant. However, their relationship was soon tainted by accusations of infidelity when Scheana, Kristen, and three other former SUR employees claimed they had slept with James while he was dating Raquel. They even managed to take pictures of him sleeping as evidence.

As a loyal follower, I can share that I refuted all the claims made by the women and continued my romantic journey with Raquel. However, our engagement came to an end in 2021 after five years together. Post our separation, I admitted to having had an intimate relationship with Lala at the start of my relationship with Raquel.

In an interview with TopMob News in February, Raquel admitted, “I was quite gullible back then and believed James never betrayed me. However, I’ve come to realize now that he indeed had been unfaithful to me on numerous occasions. That revelation was certainly tough to accept.

In the year 2017, yet another instance of deceit surfaced for Jax, as he admitted to having an affair with a former SUR waitress named Faith Stowers. Initially, he denied it during the season six premiere. However, after his girlfriend Brittany Cartwright confronted him, while clad in a Taco Bell sweatshirt, he eventually confessed to the indiscretion.

Jax admitted during a private conversation that he’s been in this predicament before, where he was caught cheating. Previously, he spent numerous months denying the accusations, but it didn’t resolve the issue for him. He further explained that his relationship with Brittany had faced some tough times (as portrayed on their 2017 spinoff, Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky)), which ultimately resulted in him being unfaithful to her.

Certainly, Jax’s confession left Brittany heartbroken, prompting her to exclaim “May you rot in hell!” In the aftermath, Brittany initially ended things with Jax, but they soon reconciled and tied the knot in June 2019. Their son, named Cruz, arrived two years later.

On March 3, 2023, the Bravo Cinematic Universe experienced a significant shakeup as news broke about the ending of Tom and Ariana’s nine-year romance following allegations that Tom had been involved in a seven-month relationship with Raquel.

In a heartfelt apology posted on Instagram on March 8th, this person admitted to making errors, acting selfishly, and taking reckless actions that caused harm to someone dear to them. They stated emphatically that no one should ever have to endure such intense and public pain.

He expressed his remorse by saying, ‘What saddens me most is the way I let down Ariana. It was never my intention to cause disappointment among so many dear ones, such as our cherished families and friends.’

Raquel additionally expressed a heartfelt apology towards Ariana, acknowledging there was “absolutely no justification” for her behavior. Subsequently, in another statement, Raquel discussed the potential course of her connection with Tom moving forward.
