Lots of FMV (full motion video) games are being released on the PS5, and many come from companies in Britain, such as Wales Interactive, or from studios in China that often focus on romantic storylines.
Buttons Interactive, a studio in Istanbul, is creating its first game, ‘Hacked: The Streamer.’ The game promises a disturbing story and is expected to launch sometime in 2026.
Like many games of this type, you’ll be part of a live, interactive story where your choices change what happens. The creators say there are five different endings, and over 50 key moments that affect which one you get.
The story centers around PinkyPie, a live streamer who becomes the target of a hack and blackmail scheme involving private, compromising photos.
To solve the mystery, you’ll have to examine the clues and figure out who committed the crime. Is it someone familiar, or a fan who’s become dangerously fixated?
The acting isn’t great, which is typical for this kind of project. However, the story has promise, and we’re hoping it delivers a satisfying conclusion.
