Though the popular series The Boys will conclude after its fifth season, Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, has already committed to a new television project.
The fifth season of The Boys kicks off on April 8th with two new episodes, bringing the story that started in 2019 to a close. Antony Starr’s performance as the powerful but troubled Homelander has been a highlight of the show. While fans are eager to find out what happens to his character in the popular Prime Video series, Starr has already landed his next TV role.
I just read that Austin Starr is joining the cast of a new Netflix series called Breakers, and it sounds really interesting! He’s going to play Brando, who’s apparently the captivating leader of this surfing community in Australia. The story kicks off when two American best friends are backpacking there and stumble upon this group, and get pulled into their world. I’m definitely adding this one to my watchlist!
Besides starring as Brando, Starr is also an executive producer on the series, which is being written and executive produced by Pete Jackson. Production is currently happening in Western Australia and should be finished in June.
