The hits—and history—just keep coming at the Grammys 2026.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I always keep an eye on the Grammys, and this year’s show, hosted by Trevor Noah in Los Angeles, had some exciting new categories! We finally saw awards given for Best Album Cover and Best Traditional Country Album. Tyler, the Creator’s CHROMAKOPIA took home the prize for Best Album Cover, while Zak Top’s Ain’t In It For My Health won Best Traditional Country Album. It was a fantastic night, and if you want to see all the amazing red carpet looks, check it out!
Kendrick Lamar made Grammys history by surpassing Jay-Z for the most awards won by a rapper. He received four awards this year – for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, Best Melodic Rap Performance, and Best Rap Performance – bringing his career total to 26.
Jay-Z’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, is no longer the youngest Grammy winner. That title now belongs to 8-year-old Aura V from Maryland, who won Best Children’s Music Album alongside her father, Fyütch.
Bad Bunny’s album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS was historic, becoming the first Spanish-language album to win Album of the Year. Similarly, “Golden” by KPop Demon Hunters made history as the first K-pop song to earn a Grammy award.
As a pop culture enthusiast, I’m always excited to see artists making history! Lady Gaga recently joined an exclusive club, becoming only the fourth performer – after Adele, Kelly Clarkson, and Taylor Swift – to win the Best Pop Vocal Album Grammy more than once. It’s a testament to her incredible talent and staying power!
Director Steven Spielberg achieved EGOT status after winning Best Music Film for his work as a producer on the 2024 documentary Music by John Williams.
The Dalai Lama won his first Grammy Award for his audiobook, Meditations: The Reflections of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, which was named Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording.
Someone get Shaboozey a double whiskey – he just made history! He’s the first Black man to win Best Country Duo/Group Performance, and he earned it with his hit song “Amen,” a collaboration with Jelly Roll.

The Grammys made history even before the ceremony began. Back on November 7th, when nominations were announced, Kendrick Lamar achieved two major milestones: he became the first rapper to be nominated for Album of the Year five times as the lead artist, and the first solo artist ever nominated for the award with five albums in a row – his latest being GNX.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m always thrilled to see artists breaking boundaries, and Rosé just did that! Her collaboration with Bruno Mars, “APT,” earned her a spot in the history books – she’s the first K-pop artist ever nominated in the Grammys’ four biggest categories: Record of the Year and Song of the Year. It’s a huge moment, and a testament to her incredible talent and the growing global impact of K-pop.
Building on Lady Gaga’s historic wins in 2019, Timothée Chalamet has become the first man to be nominated for awards at the Grammys, Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards (previously the SAG Awards), and the Oscars all in the same year. He earned the nomination for his work on the Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, which was recognized for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
