id Software, the studio famous for the DOOM games, has hinted at some exciting news coming this week. They recently celebrated their 35th anniversary, and studio heads Marty Stratton and Hugo Martin shared a thank-you message with fans for their years of support. They also suggested that big announcements are on the way.
In a recent social media video, Jeremy Stratton hinted at several announcements coming this week to celebrate id Software’s 35th anniversary. While details weren’t shared, the studio began the celebrations by releasing new artwork for DOOM: The Dark Ages. This suggests that any major announcements this week will likely involve The Dark Ages in some way.
What Could This id Software News Be?

As a big DOOM fan, I’m really hoping we finally get some news about the DLC for DOOM: The Dark Ages this week! id Software has already said they’re planning to add to the game, and it’s been almost a year since it came out. We haven’t seen anything about the DLC yet, which is killing me! Even if it’s still a ways off, just a first look would be amazing and get everyone hyped again.
Just a reminder that id Software hasn’t promised any big reveals. Although Robert Stratton hinted something might happen this week, it could simply be related to the studio celebrating its anniversary with fans online. So, it’s best not to get your hopes up too high. We’ll share any news with you on ComicBook as soon as we hear about it, whether it’s about DOOM or something else entirely.
