5 EastEnders spoilers next week: Jake Moon reunites with Alfie plus shock passion for ex-lovers

EastEnders is set for a dramatic week with the return of Jake Moon (Joel Beckett), who hasn’t been seen for over a year and a half.

He unexpectedly visits Zoe Slater, and the family starts to believe his connection with Chrissie Watts might convince her to admit to killing Anthony Trueman.

It turns out Jasmine Fisher (played by Indeyana Donaldson-Holness), the daughter of Zoe and Anthony, was the one who did it.

Mark Fowler and Ravi Gulati become friends, but their connection could be risky, especially as Nugget struggles with health issues. At the same time, people are worried about Phil Mitchell and Lexi Pearce.

Meanwhile, Bea Pollard keeps causing trouble, and Linda Carter shares a surprising kiss with Max Branning.

Here’s a look at everything happening in Albert Square between Monday 9 and Thursday 12 February.

5 EastEnders spoilers for next week

1. Jake Moon attempts to lure Chrissie Watts back to Walford

I was so surprised when I found out Jake requested a visit! He’s really worried about what happened to Anthony over Christmas and is trying to figure out if Chrissie had anything to do with it. He’s desperate for answers, and honestly, I can’t blame him.

He explains their breakup happened because of her plan to get revenge on Zoe, and he’s stunned to find out just how far she went with it.

After a lot of past issues, Jake ends his relationship with Chrissie. However, Zoe pleads with him to help clear her name, as she’s been accused of killing Anthony. Jake won’t help, so Kat Moon and Vicki Fowler start looking for him.

He found them going through his things, and reluctantly agreed to visit Alfie. As fans may remember, the cousins nearly met in 2024, but Jake left before they could actually connect.

When Alfie and Jake reunite, it’s a very emotional moment, and Jake decides to stay in Albert Square for the night. This means he’ll inevitably bump into people from his past, including Phil. He seizes the opportunity to finally address old grievances and attempt to move on.

Phil encourages him to support Kat and Alfie, so he decides to contact Chrissie, hoping to convince her to return to London.

But will she arrive?

After being seen getting close to Ronni Ancona in a Christmas Instagram post, it seems likely that Miriam Margolyes (who plays Oberman) might reprise the role at some point.

2. Mark Fowler and Ravi Gulati finally meet

Mark recently returned and explained he’d been mistakenly targeted by a drug gang who thought he was a police informant. In reality, Ravi is the one secretly working with the police, trying to avoid a longer prison sentence.

Ravi gets worried when his son, Nugget, loses focus during a driving lesson. Later, Ravi tells Jack he’s meeting someone new for the first time that day.

The person in question? Mark, who has an awful lot of questions for the hard man.

Davinder Gulati, also known as “Nugget,” has another difficult moment when he suffers a seizure while sitting in his car. Priya Nandra-Hart and Ravi quickly take him to the hospital, where doctors suspect he may have epilepsy.

Ravi is deeply upset and ashamed that his actions have caused Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) a permanent problem, and he tries to cope by drinking at a nightclub. Mark is also having a drink, and both men have to step in when a group of men start threatening Chelsea.

Mark was impressed by the man’s eagerness to help, and revealed he needed someone to provide information. Little did he know, he’d already found exactly who he was looking for.

Priya and her partner have another fight when she discovers he works with the police, but the argument is interrupted by urgent news about Nugget.

3. Lexi Pearce faces a troubling time as the Mitchells rally around Phil

Lexi is facing a big change in her life next week. It’s been a difficult year for her, especially after discovering her dad, Ben Mitchell, found out her step-dad, Callum Highway, was having an affair with Johnny Carter – something Lexi strongly opposed.

Callum is also worried, seeing how much pressure Phil is under while caring for Nigel Bates, who is living with early-onset dementia.

Hoping that the wider family can support them, he rallies them together.

4. Bea Pollard twists the knife with Honey Mitchell

Billy Mitchell is worried about how Honey losing her job will affect their finances, and he wants her to ask her boss if she can have it back at the Minute Mart.

But Bea, her more assertive side, thinks she should insist on being compensated for the injury she suffered at work.

Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal) was incredibly angry with their behavior and immediately fired them. This led Bea to lie to Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota), claiming the community was outraged by the firings and how Honey had been treated.

Later in the week, Bea gets upset with Linda after Linda mistakenly thinks Bea is being asked to leave Peacock Palace. Fortunately, Honey offers Bea a solution: she asks Bea to look after her house while the Mitchell family is away on vacation.

Will she cause even more trouble?

5. Linda Carter moves in for a kiss with Max Branning

Rather surprisingly, Linda makes a move on ex-lover Max next week.

The story begins with worries that Ollie Carter is being bullied once more. His father suggests a family day out with Annie, hoping to relieve some of his mother’s stress.

It didn’t take me long to figure out that the kid causing all the trouble, Ollie’s bully, was actually the grandson, Louie Beale, played by Jake McNally. Honestly, I was surprised! The grandfather immediately tried to deal with it himself, giving Louie a stern talking-to and deciding not to loop Linda in on the situation. It felt like he was trying to handle it internally, which I found interesting as a viewer.

Elaine Peacock, his mother, notices they’re becoming close again and tells him to avoid getting involved with her.

The following day, Linda shares what Ollie went through, leaving him upset about having kept it a secret. Meanwhile, Louie got into trouble at school and acted out aggressively, forcing Max to talk to Lauren and Peter about his actions.

His parents couldn’t imagine their son being capable of this, and they’re shocked to discover they were right. Nearby, Bea hears Max warn his daughter to keep it a secret from Linda.

After a difficult day, Max and Linda share a moment, and she leans in, hinting at a kiss.

Will he reciprocate?
