TopMob has shared a sneak peek at the upcoming ITV drama, Gone, with exclusive first-look images of the show’s main characters.
The photos show Eve Myles, known for her role in Torchwood, and David Morrissey, from The Walking Dead, playing their characters Annie Cassidy and Michael Polly. These images are the latest in a series, following an earlier photo of the pair sitting together during a police interview.
ITV calls this series a “chilling mystery.” It centers on Michael, a school headmaster played by Morrissey, who becomes the main suspect when his wife, Sarah, goes missing.
Although the story is made up, it drew some inspiration from the book To Hunt a Killer and the work of Julie Mackay, a former detective superintendent with the Gloucestershire Police who also advises on the show.
We’ve also drawn inspiration from Robert Murphy, ITV’s crime correspondent and a consultant on this project. He’s covered many intricate investigations throughout the West of England.

You know, from what I’ve gathered about this show, the main character, Michael Polly, seems like a really solid, reliable guy – the kind of person everyone trusts. But he’s also a bit of a mystery, and he really likes things done just so – very organized and precise in everything he does at work.

Everything changes when he meets the determined and sharp Detective Annie Cassidy, portrayed by Eve Myles. A thrilling game of cat and mouse starts, with Annie relentlessly probing his carefully constructed facade to uncover the truth. Beyond the central mystery, the story delves into themes of trauma, whether people can truly trust each other, and the lasting impact of powerful organizations.

George Kay, who also wrote the series The Long Shadow and Hijack, created the show, and Richard Laxton, the director of Joan, oversaw its production.
It will premiere on ITV and STV this spring, with an exact release date yet to be announced.

Okay, so here’s the deal. I’m running into a bit of a technical snag trying to show you whatever’s behind this Google reCAPTCHA. Apparently, it’s conflicting with something called Contentpass – the fix is to sign out of Contentpass first, and then hopefully, everything will load up properly. It’s a bit annoying, but hopefully a quick sign-out will do the trick!
The series features a talented cast including Jennifer Macbeth, Arthur Hughes, Nicholas Nunn, Elliot Cowan, Billy Barratt, Rupert Evans, Jodie McNee, Oscar Batterham, and Clare Higgins, alongside Morrissey and Myles. So far, no photos of the actors in their roles have been released.
The new drama, Gone, will premiere on ITV and STV this spring. You’ll also be able to watch it on demand through ITVX and STV Player.
