Remember seeing announcements for Tom Clancy’s The Division – Definitive Edition? It’s now available on Xbox and PlayStation for $49.99. Surprisingly, it was released with very little promotion from Ubisoft – almost as if they didn’t want anyone to notice!
Checking the Xbox Store shows the game will work on both Xbox One and the newer Xbox Series X/S consoles. Because the PlayStation Store doesn’t list a PS5 version, it probably means players will be using older versions of the game that work on the PS5 through backwards compatibility. Xbox Series X/S players have been able to play at 60 frames per second for some time, but PS5 players just got that update in December.
This bundle includes all three major expansions – Last Stand, Underground, and Survival – plus two cosmetic packs (Let It Snow and Parade) and six outfit packs. That’s everything – there are no visual upgrades or new ways to play. It’s replacing the previous Gold Edition, which has been removed from most stores, but you can still find the Gold Edition on Steam.
Even though recent news has been discouraging, there’s still plenty more to come for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. In March, players can try out a new Realism Mode for a limited time, which will feature more realistic bullet damage, a cleaner screen with less on-screen information, and the removal of leveling features. Plus, the game will receive continued support with new content throughout the year, including some unexpected additions.
