Channing Tatum is stepping up to the OR.
The actor known for playing Roofman recently had surgery to repair a torn shoulder. He described it as just another typical challenge in his life.
He acknowledged in an Instagram post on February 4th that the task ahead would be difficult, but expressed determination to tackle it, saying, “This one is gonna be hard. But whatever. Let’s get it in.”
A recent black and white photo shows Channing leaning against a hospital bed, wearing a gown and hairnet while waiting for a medical procedure. Thankfully, the procedure was a success.
The 45-year-old shared x-ray images on his social media story showing a separation in his shoulder joint and the subsequent surgical repair. He didn’t explain how the injury occurred.
Okay, so Channing posted another x-ray, and honestly, my heart stopped. It turns out he had a screw put in his shoulder – a screw! He just captioned it “Yay.” like it’s no big deal! I’m seriously worried, but also… that’s just so Channing, you know? Playing it cool even when he’s clearly been through something. I just want him to be okay!
Fans and fellow actors quickly responded to the Step Up star’s post with supportive messages. Actor LaKeith Stanfield showed his encouragement with a muscle emoji and a red heart.
Channing isn’t the only star dealing with a frightening injury. Just before the opening of the 2026 Olympics, American skier Lindsey Vonn announced she’d torn her ACL while skiing in the World Cup. This Olympics is particularly special for Vonn, as it marks a return to the Games after she previously retired.

Despite a serious knee injury – including a torn ACL, bone bruise, and meniscus tears – the 41-year-old athlete is determined to compete in the Olympics.
Lindsey announced on Instagram on February 3rd that, after thorough medical evaluations, therapy, and even a day of skiing, she feels ready to compete in the Olympic Downhill on Sunday. She still needs to complete one practice run, which is standard procedure, but is confident her body is up to the challenge.

I knew my Olympic prospects before the crash, and while things have changed, I still have a shot. As long as there’s even a possibility, I won’t give up hope. This isn’t the end for me!

He instantly checked me over and got me to the hospital so fast. I was hit five times, and one bullet actually came within an inch of my right eye. It was a really close call, and I’m so grateful for his quick thinking.

After noticing she looked “puffier” and receiving critical comments online, doctors began commenting on interviews, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome, a condition often linked to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted Schumer to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections following a breast reduction and C-section. She later learned she had a form of Cushing syndrome that would resolve on its own, and she was incredibly relieved to receive a good diagnosis. In a newsletter, she called the news that she was healthy “the greatest news imaginable.”

She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially unable to speak or respond when Justin asked if she was okay. She described her right face drooping, making it difficult to form sentences.
Although the symptoms eventually subsided, Hailey went to the hospital for evaluation. Tests revealed she had suffered a small blood clot in her brain, which doctors identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA uncovered a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled to her brain through this hole, causing the TIA.
Hailey underwent a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home. However, his sister, Deidra Dixon, worried and took him to the hospital, where doctors discovered he’d had a brain bleed that caused a stroke.
After surgery, 20 days later on May 4th, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.
He expressed his gratitude for the support he received, saying, “I appreciate every prayer, because I needed every prayer.”

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the series, she experienced a sudden, severe headache at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain – due to a ruptured aneurysm. She underwent immediate surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.
After a week, her speech returned, and she was discharged from the hospital a month later. However, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had doubled in size, requiring a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform an incredibly risky surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue – unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing to rest for hours – and persistent stomach pain. She faced confusion due to conflicting diagnoses from different doctors.
Determined to find answers, Woodley, who has kept the specific condition private, combined traditional medical care with holistic approaches, drawing on her background in herbalism and working with alternative healers.
This journey lasted a decade, and the physical discomfort led to deeper emotional challenges. She developed a fear of food, struggled with body image issues, and questioned her sense of self and safety.
Fortunately, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental wellbeing, Woodley is now healthy and feeling much better. She expressed gratitude for being able to say that her health issues have resolved themselves.
