In the new season, Manuel Garcia Rulfo returns as Mickey, who must now clear his own name after his previous client, Sam Scales, is found murdered. He and his team work to prove he wasn’t involved.

Is this the last we’ll see of Mickey on screen, or will Netflix renew the show to cover more books in Michael Connelly’s series?

Will there be The Lincoln Lawyer season 5?

A fifth season of The Lincoln Lawyer is happening! It was confirmed in January 2026, even before season four had premiered.

Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez, who oversee the show, announced that season four will premiere on February 5th. They also shared that they’ve already begun working on season five!

Okay, so Season 4 was seriously the most emotionally demanding and complex case I’ve seen Mickey Haller deal with yet. It really dug deep, and honestly, I’m so glad they’re giving us a Season 5 – I’m really invested in seeing where his story goes next!

The upcoming season will draw its story from “Resurrection Walk,” the seventh book in Michael Connelly’s Lincoln Lawyer series.

The description of the new book suggests what viewers can anticipate in the upcoming season of the show. It focuses on Mickey Haller, a defense attorney known as The Lincoln Lawyer, who is overwhelmed with requests from inmates claiming they’re innocent. Teaming up with former LAPD detective Harry Bosch, he uncovers a potential case of wrongful conviction.

A woman is in prison for the murder of her husband, who was a sheriff’s deputy. However, the evidence in the case seems questionable, and it appears the sheriff’s department was eager to close the investigation quickly, given the victim’s position. Was this a case of hasty justice, or is there something more troubling going on?

In a seemingly impossible legal fight, the information that could prove a woman’s innocence is so valuable, someone might kill to keep it hidden.

When will The Lincoln Lawyer season 5 be released?

It’s still unclear when season 5 of The Lincoln Lawyer will premiere, but if past seasons are anything to go by, we can expect it around a year and a bit after season 4.

This pattern has held true with every release so far. The longest gap between seasons has been between seasons 3 and 4, which was a year and four months.

We’re currently expecting a release in summer 2027, but we’ll share any firm dates here as soon as we have them.

Who will star in The Lincoln Lawyer season 5?

While the full cast for The Lincoln Lawyer season 5 hasn’t been confirmed, we anticipate seeing the familiar faces of stars like Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Becki Newton, and Jazz Raycole return.

Like previous seasons, we can expect several guest stars to appear. Since the book season five is based on heavily features Harry Bosch, there’s a possibility of a crossover with the Prime Video series Bosch, potentially bringing Titus Welliver onto the show. We’ll have to wait and see if that happens.

Here’s the current list of cast members expected to be back for season 5 of The Lincoln Lawyer.

  • Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller
  • Becki Newton as Lorna Crane
  • Jazz Raycole as Izzy Letts
  • Angus Sampson as Dennis ‘Cisco’ Wojciechowski
  • Neve Campbell as Maggie McPherson
  • Elliott Gould as David ‘Legal’ Siegel
