Khloe Kardashian‘s 3-year-old son is keeping her late dad Robert Kardashian Sr. close to heart.
The reality star shared that her daughter, Tatum Thompson, calls Kris Jenner by a special nickname that was originally used by the head of the Kardashian family.
She explained to Theresa Caputo on the February 4th episode of Khloe in Wonder Land that her mother’s name is Lovey, and her son Tatum calls her Honey.
And Kris would “start bawling” every time Tatum referred to her as such, according to Khloe.
She told me, ‘That’s what your father used to call me,’ she continued. We all discouraged Tatum from using that nickname.
Khloe believes she shares a spiritual connection with her father, who died of esophageal cancer in 2003 at age 59. This belief is likely shaped by the fact that she was only five years old when her parents separated.
“He has so many characteristics of my dad,” she continued of Tatum. “It’s crazy.”
Khloe had noticed this pattern before. Back in 2023, she pointed out that Channing Tatum, Robert Pattinson, and even her brother Rob Kardashian all have very similar personalities.
Khloe shared on X (formerly Twitter) that her son is incredibly sweet and loving. She also mentioned he reminds her of her father and brother, which she finds heartwarming. Khloe is also mom to her 7-year-old daughter, True Thompson, with Tristan.
According to the Good American co-founder, Tatum also has a “sarcastic” sense of humor like Robert.
My dad was really funny – he had a dry, quirky, and unpredictable sense of humor,” she said in a 2024 interview with SHE MD. “I see little bits of my dad in my son, Tatum, and it’s just really strange.
Kris Jenner thinks there’s something supernatural going on with her grandson and her late ex-husband. On last year’s episode of The Kardashians, she revealed that her grandson occasionally says goodnight to his grandfather, leading her to believe spirits are involved.
She noted that it was remarkable to hear a three-year-old child talk about conversations he’d had with a grandfather he’d never actually known.

Kris celebrated her grandson’s first birthday with a sweet Instagram post, remarking on how much he resembles his uncle Rob. She playfully called the resemblance ‘wild’ and expressed her love for it.
She continued, “I love you my amazing Tatum!!! I love you my sweet boy.”
Kris, who prefers her grandkids call her “lovey” as opposed to grandma, cuddled with Tatum.
Tatum looked ready for fall with his apple and moss green outfit.
In July 2023, Tristan Thompson celebrated his son Tatum’s birthday with a heartfelt message. He wrote that Tatum reminds him of the meaning of life, has taught him valuable lessons from difficult times, and is a true blessing – the inspiration for his personal journey.
He went on to say that setbacks aren’t failures, but opportunities to learn. It’s never too late to change and grow, and he finds Tatum’s kindness a reminder of goodness and faith. He expressed his love for his son, declaring him a future leader and feeling incredibly fortunate to be his father.

He was wearing a sweet grey t-shirt and has the most amazing, thick, dark hair. I seriously can’t even handle the cuteness!
I was so touched seeing the photos Khloe shared of True and Tatum! It was the sweetest thing to see True holding her little brother, and in one picture, he was even grabbing onto the balcony railing. It just melted my heart!
Tatum enjoyed some fresh watermelon while celebrating his first Fourth of July.
On May 7, 2023, Khloe posted a photo of herself with her children at the fourth birthday party for her cousin, Psalm West, which had a fire truck theme.
In the photo, the tot wears a red, plastic firefighter’s cap and sits on his mom’s lap.
Just before her son Tatum turned one, Khloe shared a sweet video of him crawling on her Instagram Story, marking a special moment.
