However, unlike the hero of The Night Agent, this character isn’t working alone – he’s leading an entire submarine crew and trying to clear their names. Like the later series, this military thriller is full of unexpected twists and turns that keep you engaged.

One of the things that makes Last Resort stand out is that it tells a complete story in just one season. Although the show had respectable viewership during its 13 episodes on ABC, it wasn’t renewed. This was likely because the series had a clear and satisfying conclusion, answering all the major questions by the finale.
