Okay, huge spoilers ahead if you’re not caught up with the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga! Things are really coming to a head, and it’s been intense. After the talks with the Simurians totally broke down when Cross was killed, Dabura basically demanded a one-on-one duel to settle everything. The problem was, nobody on the sorcerer’s side seemed strong enough to face him. That’s when Yuka Okkotsu stepped up, knowing she didn’t have much time left anyway – only three months! To try and get the Simurians to leave and save Yuka, Tsurugi challenged Maru to a duel. And the latest chapter, 21, just wrapped up that fight… sadly, Tsurugi lost. It’s frustrating because he could have won easily with the help of Rika and Maki’s Soul-Split Katana, but it didn’t happen!
Yuka still hasn’t reappeared since retreating into her shadow. Meanwhile, the fight between Mahoraga and Dabura rages on, and Yuji Itadori has stated he won’t get involved. But that doesn’t mean he’s doing nothing – over the years, Yuji has become incredibly powerful and is planning something significant.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Is All Set to Break The Cycle of Curses

I witnessed Maru showing Yuji an ancient Kalyan aboard the spaceship, shortly after Tsurugi’s loss. Maru explained his goal: to forge a connection – a Cursed Technique called Harmony – between humans and the Simurians. He believes Yuji’s power is compatible with this technique, which is why they’re working together. Ultimately, Maru wants to end the birth of cursed spirits, hoping to break the thousand-year cycle of suffering they’ve caused. It seems these spirits are at the heart of the conflict between sorcerers and Simurians; sorcerers view them as dangerous enemies, while the Simurians consider them sacred.
Having deeply hurt those closest to him – Cross and Tsurugi – he felt this was his only choice. Furthermore, Yuji is now neither fully human nor a curse, and doesn’t age. Because his pain stems from being caught up in the world of curses, he readily agreed to work with Maru, sharing research notes compiled by Yuki Tsukumo.
Yuki entrusted her diary to Choso before she died, and it eventually reached Yuji, who has kept it with him ever since. The fact that Yuji carried the diary without knowing he’d need it suggests he’s subconsciously driven to fulfill Yuki’s wishes. The chapter concludes with Yuji and his companion encountering Mahito, who remains restless after being taken over by Kenjaku. It’s now clear that Mahito will play a vital role in the effort to destroy all curses.
The Biggest Mystery From The Original Series Will Finally Be Solved

For centuries, or even millennia, curses have threatened people. As long as negativity exists, new curses will appear, and those who fight them – often sorcerers – will continue to risk their lives. We don’t know why these curses plague humanity, but stopping them seems unavoidable.
Yuki Tsukumo, a powerful sorcerer, dedicated her life to ending a repeating pattern of violence and searched for a way to do so. Sadly, she was killed in battle against Kenjaku before she could achieve her goal. She left behind a detailed diary, hoping it would be useful in the future, and that time is now approaching. The continuation of the story shows that even with Ryomen Sukuna and Kenjaku defeated, the world still faces danger from curses.
Things were getting harder because the strength of sorcerers was weakening over time, and Yuta and Maki’s son, Iori, feared what that meant for the future of the Jujutsu world. But now, the story has revealed a path towards a brighter future, giving fans hope that Jujutsu Kaisen will have a satisfying conclusion.
