Layla Taylor isn’t keeping her relationship status a secret.

A star from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has confirmed she and Mason McWhorter have broken up. Fans began to suspect trouble when they noticed the pair had unfollowed each other on social media, ending their nearly year-long relationship.

In a TikTok video posted on February 7th, she tearfully explained that she and Mason have broken up. She clarified that the split is very recent, explaining that while they were recently seen together in New York, they have since unfollowed each other on social media, causing confusion among some people.

She explained that they were simply heading in different directions and he needed space to grow as an individual. She supports his choice and wishes him well.

Layla, who has two children – 4-year-old Oliver and 3-year-old Maxwell – with her former husband Clayton Wessel, initially said she and Mason, 25, were on good terms. However, she later shared a video online suggesting she might be reconsidering things.

She retracted her previous statement about there being no conflict, writing in text on a TikTok video—which didn’t mention Mason—that he had been texting her earlier that same morning, saying he missed her and was upset. She added in the caption that she was happy to see him maturing, despite the situation.
