Halo: Campaign Evolved Could Release Before September – Rumor

Despite recent drops in Xbox hardware sales, the company’s game lineup for 2026 is looking stronger than it has in years. A highlight is the upcoming Halo: Campaign Evolved from Halo Studios, which is currently expected to launch this summer. According to reliable insider shinobi602, the release might even happen before September.

He responded to a comment on ResetEra about a potential release this summer, saying “Not that far (at least for now).” While not a definite confirmation, a July or August release seems likely. This is because Microsoft, like most game companies, probably wants to avoid releasing their game at the same time as Grand Theft Auto 6 in November. Of course, this depends on whether the game experiences any unexpected delays, which is difficult to predict at this stage.

A visually updated version of the original Halo: Combat Evolved campaign is in development for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. It won’t have traditional competitive multiplayer, but will feature a four-player co-op mode with cross-play functionality. The game will retell the original story with updated level designs and new weapons, and also includes three new missions that serve as a prequel to the main campaign.

We still haven’t seen these games, and Microsoft might be holding them back for their Xbox Games Showcase in June. Keep checking back for the latest news.
