Win or lose, Stefon Diggs is still celebrating his squad.
Despite a surprising 29-13 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX, the Patriots’ wide receiver remains optimistic about his team’s future.
After the game on February 8th, the 32-year-old player expressed how proud he was of his team. He said he was incredibly proud of his teammates, though disappointed with the outcome, and acknowledged they had a fantastic season.
Even though his team hadn’t scored any points by halftime, Stefon said his coach, Mike Vrabel, gave them a pep talk before the second half began.
Stefon explained that at halftime, the coach encouraged the team to remain optimistic. He said the coach told them to keep fighting through the challenges, as the game was still close. They just needed to start a successful offensive series, and they knew it would happen.
Stefon praised young quarterback Drake Maye, saying he led the team through a very difficult but successful season.
Playing quarterback is a tough job. It takes a team effort, and we need to give our quarterback more support. He’s still learning, and he played as well as he could under the circumstances, giving it his all.

He encouraged his teammate to keep shooting, specifically mentioning “Steph Curry,” and reminding everyone that Steph is only 23 years old. He also expressed his own desire to have contributed more to the team’s effort.
Stefon is looking forward to next season and is optimistic about coming back, especially with his girlfriend, Cardi B, cheering him on at the recent game.
He said in the interview after the game that he plans to stay with the team. He expressed his strong affection for his teammates, saying he’s had a great year playing with them and that they’ve formed close, family-like bonds.
He said he’s content with his current situation and appreciates everything that’s happening in his life. He emphasized the importance of staying humble and grateful.
