7 Powerful DC Heroes Who Stand No Chance Against Wolverine

Wolverine is definitely one of Marvel’s strongest heroes. He’s known for willingly taking on incredibly powerful opponents like the Hulk – something most heroes actively try to avoid. Thanks to his unbreakable adamantium skeleton and amazing healing ability, he’s incredibly durable. He’s also much faster and stronger than the average human, possessing impressive strength and agility. Over the years, Wolverine has defeated many of Marvel’s most famous characters (though he’s had some unexpected defeats!), and has fought alongside and against the most powerful heroes and villains. It’s no surprise he confidently claims to be the best at what he does.

Wolverine is a major force in the Marvel Universe, and he’d be just as dangerous in DC Comics. While DC has many powerful heroes, Wolverine could actually defeat several of their strongest. Here are seven DC heroes who would likely lose to Wolverine, demonstrating his power across all universes.

7) Starfire

The Teen Titans are well-known, with many former members becoming leading heroes. Starfire joined during the New Teen Titans period and quickly became one of the team’s strongest fighters, thanks to her incredible strength, ability to withstand damage, energy blasts (starbolts), and flight. While she’s a very capable combatant, she wouldn’t be able to defeat Wolverine. Her starbolts used to be more effective, but Wolverine’s improved healing factor makes it hard for her to inflict serious injuries. Although she can fly, Wolverine is skilled at surprising his opponents. It would be an exciting battle, but ultimately, Starfire wouldn’t stand a chance.

6) Beast Boy

Beast Boy’s abilities are seriously underestimated, as shown recently in the Titans comics. He can even transform into incredibly powerful creatures like Starro, potentially making him a threat to most superhero teams. However, he’s a good person at heart, and that’s why Wolverine would win in a fight. Beast Boy would likely rush into battle with Wolverine, probably cracking a joke, and get quickly defeated. Wolverine has a lot of experience fighting – and defeating – the kinds of animals Beast Boy usually transforms into, making him the stronger fighter overall.

5) Donna Troy

Donna Troy is famous for her complicated backstory, but she’s a very capable fighter. As Wonder Woman’s adopted sister, she received some of Diana’s power and was trained as an Amazon warrior, making her one of the best combatants around. She’s incredibly resilient, both physically and mentally, having overcome countless challenges. However, her strength is only moderate, and Wolverine has consistently defeated opponents at that level. While she could land a few good hits and catch Logan off guard, he’s faced and overcome much stronger foes and would likely win this fight.

4) Atom-Smasher

The Justice Society is a famous superhero team with a long history and many different members. They once had their own young team, similar to the Teen Titans, called Infinity Inc., which included a hero named Nuklon. Nuklon, whose real name is Albert Rothstein, came from a powerful lineage – he was the grandson of a villain and a sort of protégé to the Golden Age Atom. He gained incredible strength and the ability to grow to immense size. As Atom-Smasher, he was one of the Justice Society’s strongest members. While incredibly powerful, he isn’t as strong as the Hulk, meaning someone like Wolverine could likely handle him. He’s proven himself against tough opponents like Sentinels for years, so a physically imposing enemy wouldn’t pose much of a challenge. He’s a more skilled and experienced fighter than his opponent, and fully capable of winning this fight.

3) Jay Garrick

The Flashes are known as some of the most powerful heroes in the DC Universe, thanks to their connection to the Speed Force. However, not all Flashes are equally powerful. While Jay Garrick, the original Flash, is very experienced, he’s also the weakest. This gives Wolverine a significant advantage. Many underestimate Wolverine’s durability – hitting him is like hitting solid steel. The Flash often relies on rapid-fire punches, but Jay would likely injure his hands trying to hit Wolverine. Logan is also more experienced fighting super-speedsters than Jay, making a victory for the older Flash highly unlikely.

2) Guy Gardner

As a huge X-Men fan, I’ve always found this potential matchup fascinating. Remember that storyline in Astonishing X-Men where it was established that adamantium can actually bypass Armor’s psionic shield? That got me thinking about the connection between psychic energy and emotional energy – and how adamantium uniquely interacts with energy fields. Considering all that, I genuinely believe Wolverine could take down Guy Gardner, even though Guy is a top-tier Green Lantern. Guy’s easily provoked, and he’d definitely fall for Logan’s bait, trying to prove his superiority. Wolverine would capitalize on that, and because adamantium can penetrate certain energy types – assuming psychic and emotional energies are linked – he could deliver a clean, effective blow against Guy. It’s a compelling thought experiment, honestly!

1) Batman

Batman doesn’t have superpowers, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t incredibly powerful. He’s one of the most capable humans in comics, able to defeat almost any opponent. The exception is Wolverine. Wolverine simply has too many advantages – he’s stronger, quicker, a better fighter, tougher, and more experienced than Bruce Wayne. While Batman could potentially win with time to prepare, in a straight-up fight, he wouldn’t stand a chance. Wolverine is too resilient and skilled for Batman to overcome.
