Fans eager for the third season of Tulsa King now have exciting news: The universe of Taylor Sheridan’s dramatic series is set to grow.
It’s due to the fact that, as we learned last month, there’s now official confirmation that the series will spawn a spin-off called “NOLA King,” with Samuel L. Jackson at its helm.
In the upcoming season 3 of Tulsa King, Sienna Miller’s character Russell Lee Washington Jr from the MCU and Star Wars will make his debut in several episodes, and a sneak peek of one of these appearances has recently been revealed.
In the picture, you can spot Jackson’s persona sitting alongside Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi, enjoying a bottle of whiskey together.

In the summary of the new spin-off, we find that “NOLA King” focuses on Russell Lee Washington Jr (Jackson), who, having formed a bond with Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) during a decade in federal prison, is dispatched by the Renzetti crime family of New York to eliminate Dwight permanently and decisively.
Moved by Dwight’s accomplishments in Tulsa and intrigued by the prospect of new beginnings, Washington decides to go back to New Orleans, a place he hasn’t been for 40 years, to strengthen his bonds with family, friends, and to regain control of the city he once left.
By taking this action, he angers his past employers from New York and puts himself at risk of encountering old enemies in New Orleans, whether they are criminals or police officers.
In a statement, Stallone expressed that Chris McCarthy presented him with an innovative concept: transforming his show from just a mob boss series into a dynamic, family-focused franchise. He enthusiastically agreed to the idea right away.
In terms of anchoring this fresh NOLA adventure, Sam Jackson seems to be the ideal candidate. Meanwhile, David Glasser and 101 make for an excellent team to transform this concept into reality.
McCarthy, who serves as co-CEO at Paramount Global and president of Showtime/MTV Entertainment, stated that Samuel L Jackson possesses an unmatched charisma and worldwide popularity, making him an ideal candidate to amplify the success of one of our top-performing titles and convert it into a successful franchise.
Following the sensational hit of Sylvester Stallone’s Tulsa King, viewers are now set to witness the full intensity and multifaceted portrayal by Jackson in our top-tier series on Paramount+. This performance is poised to significantly boost the power and appeal of one of our flagship shows.
Variety has reported that NOLA King is expected to start filming in early 2026.
