Zanerdin: The Unbound, a new game described as a collectible, turn-based RPG, is coming to PlayStation 5.
This game’s title might make you think it’s a ‘gacha’ game, but it’s actually a one-time purchase adventure. You can unlock a lot of different heroes as you play, and you don’t need to spend any extra money to get them all.
Sanctuary Games CEO Hyunduk You explains that despite being a small team, they aim to create experiences that feel grand in scope and aren’t limited by their size.
According to an official statement, the developers feel that gacha-style games can be fun to play even without requiring players to spend extra money.
The announcement then highlights that access to progress won’t be blocked by paywalls, really emphasizing this benefit.
Instead of spending money, you can earn the resources needed to improve your gear by completing various challenges. These include 60 turn-based battles, challenging Boss Raids, Abyss Boss Raids, and a secret Raid.
Okay, so Zanerdin doesn’t have a release date or price yet, but honestly, it sounds really cool! I’ve already wishlisted it on my PS5 just so I can keep an eye on it and get it as soon as it drops.
